    This accurate stitching reminds me of when I hand painted wallpaper for the Limited stores....one line at a time that had to be so straight and accurate.......but for some reason even now I enjoy tedious work.
    Thank you for showing another technique so clearly.....

      yes but the more economical start is to just by a piece of dark fabric, thread, the wax paper and stylus and then check out a Sashiko book from the library! :)

    Thank you Anna. I had seen Sashiko before, even heard the term, but really had no clue that it was it's own art form. I've used something like your stylus in making watercolor book markers using stencils to emboss the paper then using watercolors to paint the embossed areas. I think they're called ball point bodkins... for what it's worth.

    Enjoyed this very much! You have so many projects going at once! On a future video, can you review how and where you store ongoing projects? You are very organized, and I would like it to rub off on me. That wonderfully huge studio, along with the equally huge closet, must hold the key to your ‘system’. I do love your special room, especially the center table and chair set. What are the dimensions to your studio? I’m guessing close to the footprint of your garage? I would love to sit and stitch with you and some of your friends one of these days! Maybe an online virtual stitching party? Lol. P.s. I bet G is loving his new music room!

    • @quiltroadies1695
      @quiltroadies1695  6 років тому +1

      Oh Bonnie....you are welcome to come stitch in my room any time!!! I would love it! Yes it is the foot print of the garage...about 600 SQ feet of shear chaos! Maybe the next Bee Hive Video will be a room tour...great idea. We are not done with the music room but he is getting excited...we have moved the bed and chairs out of it...now have to dismantle the log bed frame...and move a chair in there. Will be a wonderful place to corral all his guitars, LP albums and photography stuff :)

So much so, mayhaps I'll not notice the snow????? Question, please. Why didn't you use the SF101 on your backing this time. You are usually quite an advocate of that added stabilizer. Anna, it was so fun seeing you back in the beehive. I enjoyed your sashiko video very much and I had to laugh out loud when you said your tracing was perfect, absolutely perfect! It was! And not to tell anyone that you knotted your thread a few times before. I just love being back in the beehive. Is that a new shelf behind you, near the ceiling, with beautiful cross stitch or framed pieces? That looks really good-I had not noticed that before. Have a great week. Hug Enzo for me. Pam
