Check it over. After a week or so I took mine and realized the safety was jammed. Springfield would not send a trigger group but did pay to send the whole gun back. After 3 weeks it came back. This safety is still harder than my other 2.
@@79xlch I have the same issue with the safety on mine and some slight cosmetic damage to the gun and the wooden crate. I called them and they said the safety was a known issue, I could return the gun to them and they would "try" and make it better but no guarantee that they could. I sent them pictures of the cosmetic defects and am waiting to hear back from them. I also have another M1A which I bought about 10 years ago and the safety works fine on that one. It puzzles me that they have been making the M1A for 50 years now and on the commemorative edition of all guns the safety does not function properly and they are not sure they can fix it. Again almost $3000 for the gun with taxes and there not sure they can fix it? Oh well I still love the gun.
@@79xlch after seeing your comment I ran to check on mine. It was ok and working as it should. I usually have your luck but these days it's anything from PSA. Too bad too because some of my older guns I got from them 8 years ago are really good. My ks-47 pistol is a 2 MOA with wolf steel! Just nuts.
Shes a beaut! Do you plan on firing it? I wonder what the accuracy is like. Im torn on if I want to get it. Its a good looking rifle but I'm a bit disappointed its not the loaded walnut model.
Congrats!
Well my luck has not changed. Had to send it back to have the trigger group replaced. Safety would not work.
Should have been an old school National Match model. Oh well, enjoy what you have. It looks nice.

Congrats, I just got one the other day.

@@pvp64 Yeah, I had to pay full MSRP also. They would not sent a trigger group and let me swap it out.
Picked up mine today on a chance too.
Check it over good. My safety would not work. Had to send back the whole rifle. Thought they would just swap the trigger group.

No I will not fire it. I have 2 more for that. I doubt you can find one now. I placed my order 5 months ago with 5 dealers. Only one received it.
