STR? I furnished and renovated a clean 2/2/1 about 1 mile from the Gulf Coast Beach (Sun West Park) and gave the STR a try. We did OK BUT only OK. (Too many players in the game.) After we paid all the additional fees, insurance, utilities and clean-up it just was not worth the hassle and support and we went back to LTR after a year trial run. Guests: 80% were great, 10% found something to complain about and 10% were looking for a free ride. (No different than any service business.) We are fortunate, the place is paid for and it was a learning experience, but one year was sufficient. We are comfortably "retired" and don't want to be in the cleaning business.
