Agree, Divi. Add Flex and Grid. We need nested columns and non-shortcode offerings. Also, setting the width on the elements would cause that to happen in mobile devices, so the user would have to have media queries in place so the content stacks properly. Or can achieve it with clamps or hard set pixel sizing. This where grid becomes so much easier once ya get a grasp for it.
You are a lifesaver man ! It's a very very cool feature to implement into divi custom CSS. I don't understand other people who are spitting on divi theme, hey guys, it WORKS ! just put your hands into code that's it ! If you think your website is slow, what about trying another hosting ? There's cache plugin too for wordpress. Anyway, great stuff !
Nice one👍👍 I have been trying to get the blurb module to do something like this but keep getting white space around the image. This looks like what I need 👍
Elementor has that now with its container settings, I wish divi had that too. And they are going to add AI gpt4 to their builder. that's what we need in divi too.
I'm having an issue on my site with this. I have 6 modules which I want to display below eachother. then I want to display another module (image) to the right. When I do this, the line divider (modules) dissapear and the image also dissapears. Am I doing something wrong?
Also, I don't even using the Divi theme anymore, just the builder with a bare bones starter theme. This way I can overwrite all the baked in Divi antiquated CSS with modern best practices.
I mostly use oxygen.. My partner prefers divi. I like divi, but miss flex and grid, of course I do it this way... Hard road to find the perfect builder...
Here's the big question.... why is Divi so far behind in baking flex and grid into the builder? Avada, elementary, block themes etc are all already doing this. It's the main reason I'm using less Divi... its outdated
We don't need all this, we need grid layout/column/etc. It's almost version 5 why still not have that. Other platform already have all that and almost to AI generated.

Oh man...I haven't been to London in almost 7 years - but that was my favourite spot on the visit! Thanks for picking that picture!

It's not flex-direction: vertical;
It's flex-direction: column; (or row, depends your needs)
Came here to say the same thing.
This is awesome. Thanks for sharing.
thanks for tutorial....Can you make tutorial on how to use DIVI for creating web stories?
Do you know if this is something Elegant Themes is working on?
Also, I don't even using the Divi theme anymore, just the builder with a bare bones starter theme.

Divi is so backward in layouts settings its disheartning...stiil waiting on that column width and grid layouts settings in the builder...😅
Come on Elegant Themes. Flexbox should be a high priority for you.

Doesn't work on mobile.
