    Out in the middle of Tochigi lies a special shop. In this shop, the original concept of the Hakotora was born by Michi-San. When Kyung (Thomas) Na of AE Threads (www.aethreads....) clothing apparel came to Tokyo for a visit, he made sure we visited Michi-San's shop - 09 Racing. After the initial shaky introductions, we all became good friends spending hours on end talking about cars, and soaking in Michi-San's Hakotora artwork. Thus, this time on Tokyo Tuner, Join me as we take a closer look inside 09 Racing, and an up close look at the original Hakotora
    As always, remember to subscribe, like, share, comment, and most importantly
    Enjoy!
    さて今回の東京チューナーでは、最初のハコトラが誕生した場所、09レーシングのガレージを覗いてみましょう。チャンネル登録、評価、シェア、コメントもぜひお願いします、それではお楽しみください!

    About a year ago, I saw the white Hakotora through pictures when it was at SEMA in 2015. This inspired me to buy my own Sunny. I went through an import agency and imported a 1984 Sunny Ute from Japan in April 2018. I have had so much fun with this truck, it is unbelievable. I visited 09Racing's website 4 or 5 months ago and was quoted a full Hakotora kit. Between wanting to completely restomod the truck with a never been done before interior, a powerful engine swap and basically rebuilding it from the ground up, there isn't a lot of money left over for the Hakotora kit. I would absolutely love to get the kit, but that will have to wait until another day, sadly. I have such big plans for this truck, and I cannot wait until it is done being built.

    This may sound weird but I have dreamt about this type of car ever since i was a kid riding dirtbikes. I’m 24 years old now and I still ride dirtbikes but the thought of buying a huge pickup truck doesn’t appeal to me at all. Seeing my friends bought a dodge or a ford and lift it up high in the air isn’t my type at all. I like small mini pickup truck that looks cool. I may buy a datsun mini truck and make it look clean with tasteful mods.

    • @Trainsk8
      @Trainsk8 6 років тому +8

      Jimbo I know what you mean man. I've always lived around people with big lifted trucks, so I bought a little ford ranger and lowered it hoping it will take my bike to the track someday lol And a Datsun truck would be sick!

    The Video quality and editing in these videos is just amazing. I love the no-frill race-car vibe of this truck. I am building something entirely different "a stock as shit Mugen FA5" and I've kinda been at a stand still as where to go next. But after watching a couple of these vids; I Am Gonna build my own intake, exhaust, strut braces and attempt to do some custom Door Cards. All the props in the world from the East Coast, State Side. Keep up the fantastic work!!
