Million-dollar fish winner promises to repay man after stealing vehicles

- A teenager who won a million dollars in a fishing competition has promised to repay a man he stole two vehicles from three years ago.
Keegan Payne was questioned by Sky News Australia host Peter Stefanovic about claims the teenager and his friends had in the past stolen a Polaris Ranger and a Polaris quad.
He admitted to the incident and apologised to those impacted.
Bob Cavanagh, the victim of the incident, had employed the teenager at his Katherine mowing business about four years ago.
Despite the incident, Mr Cavanagh said he was thrilled to learn Mr Payne claimed the million-dollar fish.
“I’m having a meeting with him and his father next week. We will sit down, and I will just see what he wants to do,” he told Sky News Australia.
“I did suffer a significant financial burden, and we will talk about what he wants to do.”
Sky news usually loves a millionaire, unless it’s an indigenous teenager. Low blow report, scraping the barrel for this piece.

Let's not beat around the bush, Sky News deceptively lured him on to the program under false pretenses by claiming that they wanted to talk to him about his million dollar catch whereas their actual agenda was to produce a gotcha moment to embarrass and shame him on live tv.
You can tell from the flippant way he was talking about catching the fish that Stefanovic had absolutely zero interest in the subject, it was just a segue to ambush the kid on TV.
People will argue that the fact that he was aboriginal was just a co-incidence, but deep down we know it wasn't just a co-incidence.
