I'm surprised to see these posts and boards being hand made, I expected this to be a bit more mechanized, but it makes a pleasant change to see people actually making thing's from start to finish, they look like good solid products to, good little film.
thanks we did the video for the chaps at kt. kevin the director is a top fellow. all products are top quality his knowledge is second to none. have a good weekend. ps all products exceed british standards, the kt recipe!!!
Elite Digital the concrete is far to wet which weakens the concrete ( the old adage .the more water in the mix the weaker the concrete should always be borne in mind. Also I would not use quarry blended sand and gravel mixes they are usually way to sandy and can not be relied on for consistency . The best precast concrete products are made by blending your own concrete from separate piles of sand and 10 mm sized stone . A good mix to use is 1 cement 2 sand and 3 to 4 stone . My preferred mix is 1: 2 : 3 .
0ldw3lshm4n I don’t think they do . I have never seen a precast concrete product company make there products from a pre blended sand and gravel mix ,the reason being different products require different ratios of stone chipping,s ,sand ,and cement . Those sand and gravel mixes usually have 2 much sand in them . The concrete is clearly 2 wet which weakens the finish product . ( I saw no evidence that they used super plasticizer which you would not need for filling such shallow moulds) how do I know all this ? I manufacture precast concrete products. ,and finally if you knew anything about this sort of work you wouldn’t have said I think they know what they are doing .
@@brickbybric how do you know they did not add any plasticizer to their water? How do you know the aggregate/sand mix is not pre mixed with correct ratio they wanted? Even though wet is weaker than if it was drier, still more than strong enough for application of fence posts.
Hello great video, I'm starting to make my own posts and gravel boards/bases and I have a few questions. If anyone could help me put I'd be most grateful. 1. What is the best cement to sand to gravel mix ? 2. How long to leave them before trying to remove them from the mould. 3. Should a high strenth cement be used?
I am trying to make these (but 6x6 with a flat top, I have a metal mold I made). For some reason they keep crumbling? I am in the US so I'm not sure that the concrete I'm getting is the same, any pointers you can help me with, you look as though you have it down to a science!!
hello do you make 100mm x 100mm slotted round top posts? Can't find them anywhere. Having watched this video i'm wondering if i could make some myself with well oiled plywood forms. Nice video.
Hi we have just started making post at our garden centre but are having problems with airline cracks Our mix is 1 cement 1 1/2 sand 3 1/2 10 mm gravel We used to use 1 cement 2 1/2 2 1/2 10 mm gravel But posts where to sandy What is the best mix we make slotted and multi hole post Howling should we leave b4 we sell them Appreciate any advice Thanks
That concrete looked really slushy and easy to handle. How come every time I mix concrete according to manufacture's recommendation, it end up super dry and nearly impossible to mix?
Hello, I am looking into pricing for concrete fence panels molds? Do you know who sells them in the USA? Also the concrete vibration table? Thanks Harold
They make enameledrear, but it inevitably fails quicker. Some imperfection allows moisture in and it rusts at one point and then fails at that point. Best to just leave it bare.
That's WAAAYYYY too much water. Hell I have seen stuff in Asia and Arabia where they don't overdo the water. And I have seen the test results of stuff with too much water.....
Get rid of the stupid music! It doesn't make our viewing experience any better than if having got to hear the actual sounds of the processes , and not to mention some narration would have obviously been nice

it is magic they use to make these
Awesome, people working. Not super mechanized. Outstanding.

Love it , and thanks for the hard work that you guys make look so easy ..
hey sir,Its great video, can you please tell how much time is needed to remove the concrete from post, will curing be needed?
Interesting video. What size rebar is that (1/4 inch / 6mm)? Would it not be better to use a single larger 1/2 inch / 12 mm piece?

God job ,like it
.tq for sharing..
Hey, where do you get your rebar cradles from? I need something similar for a home project.
Thanks.
hello, what is the raw material you use for the molds ? i thought steel but they look light on the video. is it plastic abs ?
Hey guys, quick question. What do you spray the forms with so the concrete doesn't stick?
You can use old lubricating oil
Release agent.
Crisp n dry
Where can we get the posts or the moulds in the US?
The best way to make concrete fence posts is on a Fleming machine; very fast and much stronger than a post that is wet cast.
Arh that brought back memories used to love making posts and panels .m
Hi iv just started making posts what mix did you used to use
@@rayscott7275 hi have no idea was some years ago and I just get her a semi wet mix that had been ordered by owner .
Perfekt. Beton schön gegossen..
this bar holding on some plastic rings what are they called.
That concrete looked really slushy and easy to handle. How come every time I mix concrete according to manufacture's recommendation, it end up super dry and nearly impossible to mix?
Add more water until you like the mixture.
Make sure put in more gravel than sand.
Don't add more water. Too much water makes the finished product weak. Use an elasticizer. Also known as flow control.

Make them yourself. I did
Mine keep cracking
Can you get these posts and panels in the US?? I can't find anything here!
+Jessica Stone Hi Good question !!! will have to look in to that. Enjoy your weekend regards Mark www.fenceprotector.co.uk
Jessica Stone so what do they use to hold ya fence up in the us lol or is it all like they are on boyz n the hood lol chain link lol
It’s to expensive . Her in texas is like $350 jus for one pane panel plus post and installation..

nice Work But Please Tell Me When Does Remove The Formwork?
What is being sprayed before the cement is poured into the mold?
Can I buy these molds from you guys
How much and where do they ship from
Thank you im plannig on using 20 if them how much will it vost me
Wha would be the tensile strength if you had a gate attached to one post?
Good job 💡😍😍😍
Nice one
Nice video. Where can I get the reinforcement rods and plastic hardware from?
rebar can be bought many hardware stores, the spacers make your own from plastic.
No music and explaining what you are doing would have been a lot......more informative.
great video
amigo essas formal tem qual espessura e medidas ficou top
may i know what is the yellow plastic fit at the steel bar?
what is it call?
Rebar spacers.
Why not vibrate until all the air bubbles are out?
stone crush use?
Sir, I need more videos plz apload
hi there,,, can I get the post mould
Manoj Syam
What do you spray the mounds with ?
oil
Rusted bars in the concrete? No way!
Any reinforcing always ends up rusting, concrete is pourus so it's always going to happen sooner or later
They make enameledrear, but it inevitably fails quicker. Some imperfection allows moisture in and it rusts at one point and then fails at that point. Best to just leave it bare.
I think the posts are under reinforced
4 bars not enough? What would you expect the post to be supporting? They are fence posts not pillars for a sky scraper lol
