It starts first kick, properly set ups Sherpas, especially with Mikuni carbs, always do. Unfortunately most people don't set their motors up properly.
plastic tank you say ? ARE YOU SURE IT`S NOT FIBERGLASS ! I OWNED A 1968 ALPINA 250 = NO PLASTIC .
These later ones are plastic, but the very early ones were fibreglass. There were fibreglass Replicas made for later bikes as well.
For the 350: 77 Fiberglass, 78 Red Plastic, 79-82 Blue Plastic
Numbers never matched from the factory
I've had over a dozen Sherpa and Pursangs over the last twelve years and all had matching numbers. I also grew up in Mallorca in the 1970s and rode them on the road and when we got our license plates, our numbers matched.
