I'm on my second Mega Cab first one was third gen and now I have the fourth plus gen. No wind blows this truck around, what a joke for saying that. Also, I will never have any other cab in a truck after owning two of these...
The rear seats recline and there is storage boxes behind the rear seats as well as floor buckets behind the front seats. A stock Ram with the 6.7 Cummins can easily get 16 mpg in the city instead of the 12 mpg that you mentioned. Many Ram owners use the 6.7 Cummins as a base engine to build upon to create extremely fuel efficient, and extremely powerful trucks. I agree that the short bed is perfect for common folks but I need an 8' bed and I know many other people that actually use their trucks bed space feel the same. The short bed fills up quickly especially if the truck is equipped with a auxiliary fuel tank in the bed or tool box. In the short bed I can't properly fit a sheet of plywood without it hanging off the back of the truck.
I owned this truck 2015 ram mega cab with Cummins I got on average 16.5mpg city on light foot acceleration and on the highway going back and forth to Texas I got 26mpg at 65mph..downside to owning the truck was the SLOW take off and $300+ fuel filter change..huge plus was the room and fuel economy was a HUGE UNEXPECTED PLUS
I own a 2004 2500 SLT ram diesel and the 2016 3500 dually Longhorn version and I have to say some of your points are incorrect.. 12mpg...? Try 16 city 18-19 hwy is what I see for the dually. Can't justify the extra cost of the diesel. Trust me that Diesel engine will out last the gas one by a long shot by being much more efficient and durable. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but when that gas engine starts to fall off when towing up hill the diesel keeps pulling. Owning the diesel makes so much more sense in a vehicle this large..
Carbuzz. the EPA DOSE NOT MPGs on diesel trucks. If you going to go with the truck this size you need to be towing, there’s no point in having a heavy duty truck just going to haul yourself around town;buy yourself a 1500 with the HEMI better gas mileage more comfortable ride. Anybody using this truck for work” construction” like I do is going to buy themselves a tradesman addition and pay 44,000 as of 2018. If you are buying a Laramie it’s a luxury truck, more people are buying luxury trucks and luxury cars at least in Texas because they are using it as a family vehicle, not a work vehicle.
The general asthetic design of the Ram began in the mid 1990's, but the Ram name has been used on Dodge's since the early 80's. They were Dodge Ram D-100, D-150, D-200, D-250, D-350
I've ALWAYS loved Ram trucks, and plan on buying a "status symbol" large heavy-duty diesel truck in the future as an extra car. The issue for me is the engine. I understand it's ridiculously powerful with amazing torque, but I just don't believe pickups should have anything in them except for V8s. A 6-cylinder just doesn't cut it for me. The new '17 Ford F-350 Super Duty King Ranch, with it's diesel V8, is what I'd go with. It's just a better all-around truck, and now offers more power, torque, towing, and interior quality.
What are you talking about? I have a 2001 Ram 2500 Cummins. I have over 720000 thousand miles on mine and all I have done is change oil and fuel filter every 6000 miles!
The wind doesnt blow this truck around, I own the twin to this truck. It weights 10,000lbs. Wind doesnt move it.
Apparently you and other owners are in disagreement here.
The wind does not move this around. Mabey in a tornado.

Some folks need this truck to PLAY, not just work. And when we play, it's nice to have a little luxury too.
Great job on the video, Bud!
I own a 2015 Mega Cab and I have not found any issues with high wind driving.
Great, glad it's not a problem for you.

You bring up very good points.

The MPG is what the sticker on this vehicle stated.
CarBuzz - Unboxing Everyday Cars and Supercars BS please show us the sticker where the EPA rates this vehicle.

Stop saying a truck shouldn't have these features! I want a luxury car that is a truck! Where is the problem!?!

Yes, correct.

I really like Ford trucks and cars, but why do you want a pickup truck? You can get better for the price.
John Petito It would be a "third-car" kind of thing. Literally just want it because 'Murica. No logical reason.
***** As a Murican I completely agree with that school of thought
Good luck with the purchase. Will that F-350 even fit in your garage?
Well even dipshit have an opinion but nobody gives a fuck
such a badass looking truck, it will really look good on the shop floor when the engine and transmission have to be rebuilt in 3 years...
LOL. Good point.
But your broke ass will still be driving you 1994 Kia bitch
you mean the f-250? just when you get to 100k you already got turbo issues, shitty glow plugs, ect.

carbuzz, in your opinion, which truck had more backseat leg room? mega cab or tundra?
Mega Cab. Hope that helps you.
anyone else annoyed by the speaker voice? he sounds 12! its a truck stop calling it a car, gzz
Also, can you please do the Audi S6?
I'll look to get one.
can you do the Acura mdx
It's already on my list!
CarBuzz - Unboxing Everyday Cars and Supercars ok thanks
Turning the wheel with truck is off is bad on the steering alignment, just say'n...
If you dont see the point of having the cummins in the 2500 then dont buy it. Get a 1500, having a 2500 with a hemi is kinda pointless.
Honestly, I think the 1500 is big enough. Heck, you can even get it with a diesel V6, too.
Parking this beast is gonna be a bi*ch
Backup cameras are awesome.
CarBuzz - Unboxing Everyday Cars and Supercars even with the cameras it's still a pain in the ass
