I know I'm late, but what are your thoughts around the part of rule 1c that specifically say, after the first upward talho, to let the sword fall over the right arm for the altibaxo? It seems Figueiredo had a different motion in mind, but I want to hear your thoughts on this because you are coming from a place of more practice and experience.
@@LondonLongsword Just uploaded a quick video for you, which will be in the next comment. I'm curious to hear your thoughts regarding this action, and if you excluded it intentionally, or if you think it's even really necessary. Also, please note this is not an attack on you or your interpretation, either. I have nothing but respect for you and the content you put out. :)
@@LondonLongsword ua-cam.com/video/m9EiqprQipM/v-deo.html I'm using a stick to simulate the size and momentum of a montante, but I used a longsword also to show edge alignment through each cut.
@@mattmanbrownbro Ah I think I see I am tryjng to fall over the righf arm with the motuon I describe almost as partying. I will play with it that way (upon the arm) as well. I certainly see no reason not to.:) Thanks for the clip as well, very helpful.:)
When your sword is bigger than your car, you know you like HEMA.
That thing is terrifying.
This is wonderful to see the composure of the movement, It will help me greatly with my solo drills. Thank you.
Thank you for breaking this down, these drills are difficult to learn on ones own.
Gracefull, elegant. Civilised weapon.
Awesome! Getting into longsword slightly now and my feder is so massive its almost a montante
It reminds me of Paul Porter's greatsword drills from the Bellatrix School.
I realize it is kind of off topic but does anybody know of a good website to watch new series online?
@Dean Xavier I would suggest flixzone. Just google for it :)
@Valentino Jordy yup, I have been watching on Flixzone for since april myself =)
@Valentino Jordy Thanks, I went there and it seems like a nice service =) I really appreciate it!
@Dean Xavier glad I could help =)
Ah , the frisbee backhand false edge cut. Very nice.
LondonLongsword what sort of shoes are you wearing in this video?

Hi Mathew, I would love to see what you mean in a short clip if possible. I can't answer honestly without fully understanding your point visually.:)

@@LondonLongsword please keep us updated with which ever method works best for you and your class. And thanks for checking it out!
I hoped to see it in full speed
What montante are you using?
Kungfu Man1410 Danelli:)
How tall are you?
Just half-sword with it. Thrusts are harder to dodge, block, and parry.
+LondonLongsword Your such a good swordsman
You have farrrrr too much thinking time Mr. Rawlings.... we need to find you something to do ;-)
What's the benefit of making a simple thing complicated seriously not sarcastic I just really want to know
