You're right these were primarily retailed on QVC and HSN, although, I have seen the black version without the aroma diffuser at Walmart and at Lowe's a few years ago. I was considering on buying one but I decided on something else. Great video as always!
The blade and grill combo is just so loud. It’s actually quieter with no grill but pushes more air with the grill on. The grill is poorly designed from an acoustic perspective.
You don’t need to remove the back guard and you can easily clean it by just removing the front guard. When I cleaned mine I removed the front and back guards, but I just did the screws underneath and the 6 screws in the back and everything came undone. But to remove the back guard you have to remove the front guard too.

Cool fan! Personally I like loud fans, as long as they aren’t too loud. They help me sleep.
This one’s too loud to sleep with unfortunately. I ended up donating it for that reason.

I didn’t know they still made rotating grille fans. I certainly wouldn’t buy that one though, beeping fans are one of my biggest pet peeves

How were you able to clean the blades?
I removed the two small screws in the middle of the guard, the guard comes right off
