A tip I always use and haven't seen anyone talk about it is highlighting the other player's blip in the contacts. That player will start flashing in the minimap. It's useful when there's multiple players around and know exactly where they are when they respawn.
@@FalconFlight747 yeah it's super useful. I use it to keep tabs on players too. Like if all of a sudden there's no one blinking that means they went ghost, off radar, or use bandito.
One tip that is little known is you can force someone to spawn behind you which helps you know exactly where they will be upon respawn. Immediately after you kill them, push and hold in R3 so you look behind and start running that direction. It takes practice but they will always spawn behind you. Same concept when you call in your vehicle, the game always wants to force it to spawn where you're NOT looking.
A survival tip- when shopping, always throw a sticky near the door before going in, and always have grenades equipped. The sticky looks like the proximity bomb, and if the greifer has situational awareness, they'll shoot it, alerting you to the forthcoming shitshow. If they don't shoot it, they'll need to shoot the cashier to allow them to use weapons in the store, meaning they'll be standing in the blast radius of the sticky. When you see the cashier duck, or drop dead- glance at the mini, and let it rip. If you wait for the game to kick you from shopping, it's gonna be too late. If you fail on killing them with the sticky (or they got the drop on you), thats where the grenades come in. spam the drop button as you're being killed. Yes, you still die, but you will have company in your untimely demise. They're usually after K/D anyway, so them being turned into a fine red mist negates the effort they put into being a greifing asshat to start with.
Another tip: be resourceful! If you own a rc bandito and they start going off radar or ghost organization just use it. It will make them lose their advantage by having the element of surprise. Another thing there is a clear hierarchy of vehicles so you should own at least one of each or some big ones examples include, 1, own an armored vehicle with heavy resistance to most offensive tools like a nightshark, insurgent or M.O.C cab 2, have a jet and/maybe a helicopter, offensive ones which include the akula, hunter or savage the B-11 for an all around good jet the starling for dogfighting or the hydra or lazer. Lastly, you should own jack-of-all trades vehicles which are good in alot of areas like the half-track, the toreador and the sparrow which are good for a lot of things. And maybe a tank yes even the rc kind. One last thing if PvP is not your thing there are other tactic you can use against griefers to piss them off like Kosatka fast travel, guided missiles and easy access to the sparrow and toreador and previously mentioned rc bandito, tank and nano drone available to you at all times along with the atomizer which is a pistol that shoots a round that pushes people and things around including pesky cars running you over and corner campers. If you ever use a Heli go into settings and change the first person vehicle perspective to "hood" to make aiming missiles a breeze.
THE DELUXO IS THE MAIN USE IT HAS AMAZING MISSILE DODGEING the toredore is ass in my opinion it has shortest lock on range in the game the missiles has the shortest range of them all it's just more for a setup it's a good vehicle It just don't have good use for fighting in my matter of opinion
How effective is compact emp launcher against players in cars trying to run you over? Also, would you say the heavy sniper with explosive rounds is the best counter to a jet?
@@Brandon-br7tc compact emp is not great, after hitting them they still have all their momentum they just can’t accelerate anymore, so it’d still come flying at you. And as far as the jet thing goes, there are basically only 2 counters for jets and both are when on foot, it’s an ewo loop shooting lucky rpgs up until you get them, or explosive ammo. Exp ammo obviously being the better choice
@@havoc2165 So you’d say explosive rounds are worth it to counter jets? I’ve been spawn killed by jets on multiple occasions. I find that a decent-good jet flyer is the most annoying thing in the game. Jets can completely destroy any helicopter and dodge their missiles in the process, same with a toreador. With the Hydra or Laser specifically, they can shred through any ground vehicles like any of the tanks and armored vehicles like the insurgent pickup or half track before you can kill them. Not even a Oppressor Mk2 stands a chance when the jet constantly dodges all missiles by simply turning and the Mk2 runs out. Deluxo and Ruiner 2000 missiles (which are the best in the game)? Yeah, from my experience a jet can casually dodge a barrage of those as well. Jets are just so annoying to me and they are the only vehicle that I struggle highly against in PvP. I’ll often try and get inside my Pyro (which I think is a pretty good jet for dogfighting another jet), but I admit I’m still trying to get better at flying and aiming with jets while dodging missiles at the same time. Plus, I need to actually get to the plane which is extremely difficult when they’re spawn camping and when I first get in the jet I’m at an extremely vulnerable position when I’m trying to take off. Sometimes even when I go off radar they still see me and of course that just means your dead again. Sure I could go in one of my business, or Kosatka fast travel, or go into passive but getting any form of revenge on them is impossible. So yeah that my whole rant right there
@@havoc2165 I was literally using a fully loaded Ruiner against a jet and yeah sure they didn’t end up killing me because of the armor (also because they kind of gave up, they probably thought I was hacking or something), but I couldn’t kill them either no matter how many missiles I could shoot at them. And literally no missile is better than the Ruiner’s plus they almost destroyed my fully loaded version which is ridiculous lol Also, are explosive rounds on the heavy sniper just as good for ground 1v1’s as the non-explosive rounds are?
Something to note is that you always want to have inconsistent strafe patterns. But something you need to be careful when you're going up against a sweat is never use walls for cover, They will spam explosives at you
@@Just_a_Piano_ For real I hate when people abuse the hell out of cover taking and I didn’t think of trying to find the nearest cover in that exact moment. Taking cover gives you such a good advantage in a gun fight like with rifles or shotguns. So it’s kinda good that you can negate that with explosives
A tip that may be useful for people who have all the weapons is to make use of the gun lockers and create a custom weapon loadout. This way you can show only your preferred weapons. Once you have one, you can activate or deactivate it on the interaction menu
Thanks for the tips Very useful for defending myself. 100% of the time I'm never the aggressor. That's why I have a k/d of 0.28. I also learned that in a fair fight, using strafing in first person helps to dodge incoming fire. Tbh I like to play GTA online for the co-op/solo gameplay, not pvp but unfortunately everyone is looking for a fight, especially when they have a mod menu running.

For the ppl that come out a building and kill u then run back in I usually just throw some proximity mines at all the exits and entrances so they’ll die when they come out. Works for me 100 percent of the time
Wow, a lot of pretty good tips. One thing I've learned over the years battling in Los Santos is that a lot of players haven't taken the time to learn the lay of the land. That's why battling on foot is key to help you find those advantageous positions above a player or letting you get to a flank or even completely behind an opponent. Knowledge is power. Also, I still use the grenade launcher quite often. It could be pretty useful when you need to lob or bounce a grenade in on someone who's got great position on you. That's an artform people who have been on since 2013 know very well!
His comment about the MK2 is so true I tried for the longest time not to use it but I finally gave in and bought it and got all the upgrades and to be fair I do only use it to get to point a to b and to quickly eliminate NPCs. And to only defend myself if someone tries to attack me first but I don't use it unprovoked
I’m a grinder who never kills anyone unless they attack me. If they do so I do not care about using things that aren’t fair to use. I just kill them with oppressor etc.
Great vid ! Consider using a "regular bullet proof helmet" rather than a two/quad vision because the regular one can be kept in vehicules (cars, planes, ...), which is a plus against snipers
well the thermal can be used in jets, just in a glitched form and it's not difficult to get it to work, I can't really blame console people from using it since the render distance to see people on the ground is actually revolting
@@kk0704 how long is this street that you can't see them with thermal? the sight distance is longer than console render distance so I don't know how you couldn't see them unless both of you can't see each other by any means
The Widowmaker is a midrange ground weapon, its inaccurate far away, but gets easy headshots up close. The mini gun is similar but more accurate, gets head shots from longer distance. Both are ground weapons, but the Mini gun can handle helicopters.
Nah not really… I’m a pretty good heli pilot and i love to hit players with unguided rockets on the ground… if people are pulling out a minigun/widowmaker on me i know their exact position + i usually shoot from the exact distance where the beam of bullets can’t hit me… the only way to bring down a good heli pilot is with the explosive sniper rounds or by aming homing rockets curved away to the left of the target (the rocket makes a U turn sometimes by doing so)

Tip for the heavy grenade launcher, if an enemy is hiding behind a building and you have the high ground, try doing a "Rolling Thunder" tactic. Launch, adjust, repeat until the enemy us destroyed.
The thing i would say about the marksman is it’s definitely a weapon that while requiring little skill to fire, is very effective at close range and even long range vs someone using a Heavy Mk2, and with more skill with the weapon you can handle bigger groups of attacking people a lot faster and more quickly while strafing.
One more thing is, using the mk2’s thermal scope, zooming in and out while aiming through certain buildings will actually allow you to shoot through them, and many building don’t have all the collisions necessary to stop it from happening. Get high up and you can melt through buildings lol.
Getting good at reading your mini map is honestly the best advice if you know where they’re going to be or where they are it makes all the difference. Especially if you’re in a jet
FYI: if you have the Thermal scope equipped, you won't zoom as far as having the Advanced zoom scope, so preferably use the Thermal Helmet + Advanced zoom
Lol I knew all of these without watching top videos but I wanna say tho. You fight exactly how I do. When I was level 60 I had to learn to fight asap because I was getting killed like crazy but this is legit exactly how I fight. These tips are legit 100% worth it. Awesome video as well

After activating thermal vision from interaction menu u can press f11 and your character will lift the lens up and next time when u need it just press f11..its easy this way .. i use this sometimes in pvp when i cannot see the enemy player due to terrain or weather 😀😀 Edit - and i use advanced scope in heavy sniper so i get a little more zoom and the green bars helps me to shoot the target precisely 😁
I Was going to bring that point up, but thought I'd see if anyone else had first... It's the Same on controller, just hold the right D-Pad down, to turn on and off, after activating in the interaction menu.
Certain things can be your friend like the nano drone, the kosatka guided missiles, the rc tank/bandito and the atomizer alk can lead to cheeky kills on people who deserve it
The reason people dont respect bp helmets is because back before bp helmets were even added rng was the main way people fought in freemode. Rng is all about headshots so putting on a bp helmet was an easy way out of a fair fighting style that everyone was already used to. Before bp helmets sniping wasnt even as big as it is today. After sniping became meta it became easier to ewo with the interaction menu bc you cant really do that while rnging. My point basically is that every tryhard tactic emerged in some way as a chain reaction from bp helmets being added. But for someone who hasnt played since day one i can totally see how it would be a no brainer to use a helmet.
First tip should be recon, when you log in to the game have your character pour himself a drink and watch TV while you get a sense for how many psychos are in the session. Did you know you can use your TV to spectate players in free roam? (You should probably turn that off lol)
Another tip for tip #1 instead of going to style to turn the thermal vision off... just hold right on the D-pad on console and flip the visors up and it will take it off and flip it down again to turn it back on without having to use the menu at all. Just set it up b4 you go fight
To correct you TG: 1. Thermal is overpowered and allows you to shoot through specific buildings while active 2. Always play in first person while sniping 3. Always strafe to avoid being killed easily. 4. Crouching doesn’t give you more cover when aiming down the sights unless in 3rd person. 5. Using height as an advantage is risky. The sane applies to your opponent on the ground. If your enemy is smart they’ll use a rpg or homing rocket. Play at a distance. 6. Special carbine rifle is good but Carbine Rifle mk2 is the best rifle in the game for all stats. 7. Always use mini gun over widowmaker: 8. Use both Mk 1 and Mk2 Heavy Snipers(Mk1 has better range abd render)-Mk has better damage to chest. 9. Marksman is good for close but long fighting, spam it. 10. Assault shotgun is only good for around the corner flanking(I’d would use an rpg because it’s smarter) 11. If you can’t take out aircraft; leave(it saves you time and they won’t stop believe me) 12. For mk2 users, shoot them off with combat MG mk2 in first person. Or use chaff on your mk2 and pop it before they get to you and kill them. 13. Props to TG to play defensive even if you’re the aggressor(play smart and wait, use explosives always especially grenade launcher). 14. As TG said Look at People and their organization as well as KD for info. If they hop in CEO, leave. If they get in mc, they’re getting on mk2. This is assuming they weren’t already in it. If they hop in CEO during sniping, they’re grabbing BST. 15. Always use snacks and body armor. 16. If you’re uncomfortable with vehicle combat, fight on ground and make your enemy do so by force( either because their vehicle is destroyed or they can’t access you). 17. Use heist invites from Lester to teleport. You can use the Casino to teleport as well. Additionally, you can use your agency to teleport as well. 18. Use mini tank and rc car to escape Greifers or get kills. Note: you don’t respawn where they blow up anymore.
@@bayoak ik if you buy a penthouse for the casino you unlock the phone. With this phone you have several locations around the map that you can spawn to. As to the agency, you have to talk to the guy at the counter and he too as that option. As to Lester heists, you just need to have started one, either doomsday or the original and he’ll send you random invites which will teleport you to your house or facility. From there you can exit and leave your property.

One tip about sniping is that don’t always zoom all the way, zoom like at least half way on the scope or don’t zoom in at all if you like. Because chances are is that you’re gonna end up killing your opponent with a headshot without zooming in all the way. (If they’re at least MEDIUM & especially LONG RANGE)
I got a new list for console player's 1. On playstation if you open the weapon wheel, you can press up on the D-pad to eat snacks and heal yourself 2. Never go into a shootout without body armor 3. MK2 like other motorcycles can be auto-aimed at, so let them come into range 4. If you hold up the right stick just a little bit every time you auto-aim your going to get a lot more headshots 5. the heavy revolver MK2 one shots in the chest. So if you think they don't wear body armor go with the revolver if you have him 6. the heavy MG MK2 shreds but it has a lot of spreed so either get close or longer distance with the extra zoom you get by aiming and pressing R3 it tightens it a lot, you will however be forced to free aim 7. Jet's Cannon shreds, it's fast, it's cool, can avoid missile's by turning, but they are fragile as hell. Hit it a few times with a sniper, the pilot is done just a matter of time 8. You can refill your ammo in the interaction menu, under inventory. 9. If they activate ghost organization, do the same with a small delay so you can estimate when they'll be visible again 10. Finally tipp don't engage in PVP, best way to play GTA is with friend's, second best is alone, the worst way is with rando tryhard's
also if your being attacked alot or if your in a vehicle and there are killjoy oppressor mk2's it's a good idea to convert your regular Minimap to the "extended radar" it's also useful if your in a building, you'll still have the extended Minimap, I mean you can't see the mini-mimimap when your in building which sucks if your doing missions that require combat inside buildings
Another tip for fighting an aircraft is take oppressor and get to one of the ledges on side of maze bank and use heavy sniper rifle mk2 w explosive rounds.. jet user will have a hard time trying to find out exactly where you are.while they are circling around trying to find you snipe the jet out. Use off radar to give yourself chance to get up there and set up
Tip 11: to start pvp make a dynasty weenie with the taxi livery and modifications. Then drive near ANY player, honk the horn, ask em if they called for a taxi. They will shoot you in the face 100%. Then you have a legitimate target. Have fun!
Some usefull tip when fighting grifers or when in pvp situation is to use a viechle that can counter another viechle for exmple use the opressor mk 2 if your enemy in a jet, if a grifer comes by the mk 2 use the toreador And dont forget to use snacks to make your life a bit ez
@@Devil0027 oppresor is small target the jet cant trun really fast to take him, and the opressor can trun in the place so yeah he can avoid the jet About the limited missiles you say: often when i fighting grifers in a jet with the opressor i am shooting around 15 misslies and just pick the normal missles and the one in jet thinking that i am already ran out of them

@@figgledoi Get another mk2 with explosive mgs, they can damage jets enough to get them to fuck off most of the time. Not a good counter but it's funny watching them fly away from a hoverbike with boom boom rounds while they have explosive cannons of death.
@@figgledoi spam missiles so the jet has to do circles, then free aim a missile into the jet. even on good jet pilots this works because they can't stop circling or they will get shot either way
Dude I can't stress enough about the mini map one. I play with so many people and they'll say something like "where are they" I want to scream out everytime "LOOK AT THE DAMN MINI MAP". It's hard to get used to at first but I made it a habit to look at my mini map everywhere I go.
When using thermal and ur opponent is just out of range of vision, u can shoot rpg towards ur target and the fire of the rpg will glow up ur target for easier snipe ☺️
@@brrrtbrrt3886 just like i said, when looking through thermal goggles the opponent will look like a orange square, but if they are just out of range u just shoot a rpg and it will light the target up for a few sec, if ur on ps5 I’ll show u, we can go somewhere where I’m just out of range for u too kill me then I’ll prove u I can kill u 👍
the dual lens is night vision, not thermal. You also dont have to turn off the thermal in the menu, you can raise the lenses which will turn it off.. just use rais and lower with whichever button your platform uses..hold right D pad for PS4
The advice about not always running to a vechial is a good one as someone like me who fights griefers can pull out any weaponized vechial including a fully loaded ruiner and the sparrow makes shooting down jets rather easy unless they are a darn good pilot
14:42 another thing that i also use in fights is, when they are in a ceo the player im fighting against usualy have a arrow to their dott, so ik which way they are lookin, pretty helpful
I replaced the F11 with N for visors so you can just turn on the thermal and then put the visor up and down .It's almost like the thermal scope that you used
I’m ranked 533 on GTA online, I just like grinding and getting money and continuing to make my character rich on the game, but for some reason, I absolutely suck at PVP, it’s crazy
I agree with your weapon choices ever since i started playing online i always used the special carbine rifle it is so good and get this .. i equipped mine with drum mag too
I prefer the mk2 since I like to change the colour and the red dot is really good for free aim but it has no drum mag option. However I'm a.compulsibe reloader from other FPS games so I rarely get through the 60 mag anyway let alone a full drum mag which means I'd be wasting it and getting slower reloads
Its pretty simple to get people to run out of buildings, all I do is call them a bitch or something and they get mad and run out this also makes for a good opportunity to plant a sticky bomb or some sort of trap near the door.

Nearly every tactic, every vehicle, every weapon has a 50/50 counter and probably a hard counter. Build up a mental database of what works against what, where, and why, plus exceptions. Read your opponent's mind and tactic; know what his plan requires, and then break it. A jet beats a helo everytime, until the helo hides behind a building. Pvp in this game is toxic and usually accomplishes nothing except losing time and money; most encounters devolve into sniper battles (on a terrible game engine) and no one can agree on what is an acceptable part of the game. Enjoy it when it's good; quit quickly when it goes bad (switch servers, heist warp, whatever). Don't argue. Dont spend your gaming time being angry. Reflect on your deaths. Learn from others. This is a game of weird, undiscoverable details inside weird glitches inside weird UI inside inconsistent rules. It takes dozens of hours to get a handle on what should basic things. For example, vehicles will switch weapons differently when you hit TAB/X. I still always check it. Know that cops ruin homing lock ons. etc etc etc etc etc (a) homing launcher flies faster (dont ADS and it wont lock on, working like a faster rpg). Only holds 10. (b) grenade launcher holds 10, unless you're also holding a compact grenade, in which case you get 20 (c) too much to say
I wouldn't say jets beat helis every time. I've often used the buzzard to take down jets the mgs on it are mad, the savage can work too but is clunkier. The akula is also a beast against them so I bet the hunter can be too. Just make sure to keep mobile, change altitude and keep facing them and when they come at you fire rockets before they're in cannon range (because 90% of them will be lazers right?) and they'll either be hit or pull off at which point you fire the mgs. With this I rarely lose against a jet but then they'll usually call an oppressor mk2. This is all skill dependent of course because I have only been taken out of jets by a Heli twice as far as I can remember
@@damienmcdonald7610 My thought is that with skill, you can overcome a strong, natural disadvantage (which i think helos have against jets). In other words, you in a jet could probably win more times against you in a helo (in the long run, developing strats). Out of curiosity, what do you do against a dive bombing planes or planes with chaff? In a 2 person hunter, my friend and I happily take on jets (stay higher, use cover, chaff at lock on range), MK2 (chaff, missile spam), heavy armor tanks and insurgents (stay overhead), etc. Some of the best fun in the game.
The Akula is good for surprise attacks. Chernobog is good for killing distracted Broomsticks that are causing trouble. RC PVs are great for nabbing tryhards. Blending into traffic and then suddenly darting at them works quite well. Back when I fought on the ground a lot (devolved a long time ago) I would let the cops kill me, rather than suiciding. Feels less scummy.
Also i would consider having a heist setup ready, either at an apartment or the facility. Have your text from lester ready for you to jump into your facility or apartment if the fight gets too crazy or you are being greifed by a group. Too many times have i gone to my facility, flown to my yacht, and sitting pretty with my defenses on :)
the rpg is high key the best close range weapon, shotgun is good if there is a hill in the way but sniper / rpg is really the ultimate combo, maybe a cheeky atomiser if ur spicy
i ewo when I can’t cops blind eye, or bribe authorities, the cops just sitting there shooting you while ur fighting is the most annoying thing ever, and when they run you over it’s even worse

I would say it’s a waste, the office you have is actually in a really good location tbh, Maze Bank is a really popular one so I’d stick where you are and use the money for something else
99% of the time, I never see the guy that gets me. Most aggressive players are cowardly opportunists stalking the park looking for noncombatant players minding their own buisness, smelling flowers and reading poetry and stuff lol. For some reason, nobody wants any smoke as soon as I get in my nightshark and start chucking stickybombs...
No hate towards this but mini gun around corners don’t waste time with tactical shotgun or anything in close range it’s faster will save you if you use it the widow makers is a alternative but can make it easier for players at further range to see you if your in a vehicle and the thermal helmet is the best for off radar scrubs who go ghost a lot just find the moving blip coming towards you because other players blips will show up so there is no mix up

@@mech070 If you have enough cops on you to EWO, you can spare two seconds to get the shotgun blast to the face. Police are not such a great threat, their aim resembles hawkeyes usefulness without arrows and if you are killed one shot anyway there is no point in doing that.
@@mech070 Strategy my friend, Strategy. Plant a proximity bomb or a C4 on the side or middle of the side walk they are most likely to roll out of and detonate it once you see them. If you have time put a second one as backup even better.
Alot of people might look at it a little scummy but if your being griefed and don't have any other options to get away I suggest using the RC car or RC tank it's a sure way to get away if it's available.
As long as I'm not doing anything I love when molders teleport every one to one spot I usually get away faster while every one's loading in and I tend to hug the walls as I'm booking it out of there just the rush of running out of there before every one starts blowing up everything and holding down a small alleyway while every one scaters is just amazing not fun if it's spammed
6:56 to be fair, any of the Lazer guns are basically FMJ so i prefer it over the regular mini gun just because you can pierce bulletproof windows with out the expense of special ammunition and in some cases it just shoots thru armored vehicles. Plus it sounds cool 😎

explosive Mk2 Heavy is great for anti air. with the extended range of objects on next gen. hitting jet greifers is easy. use a RCPV to hide from direct attacks and hit try hards on foot, and then RC Tank aswell. if you don't have cops on you you can also use the RCPV to teleport to a garage door and decide to go in or not
if you have a player off radar, or in a rc vehicle,most people dont know to turn off spectator..so if you have a friend playing with you, change the channel on your tv...any of your tvs to player and find his name..you can relay his exact location to your friend as you can see both of their locations

What's your opinion on exploding sniper rounds? Cause it seems that sometimes I have to shoot someone more than once with exploding rounds unless they're in an unarmored vehicle
Explosive sniper rounds are interesting they can be good or bad depending on what you’re using them for, I don’t personally use them but I get them used on me a lot lol
Explosive rounds usually take 1-2 for unarmed vehicles, 2-5 for people(someone using BST with full armour will be 5 and they can still spam snacks and armour whilst being shot I do this to people that use explosive rounds if they start lol) 2 for lazers and hydras, 3 for buzzard's and savages, 4 for sparrows, 5 for akulas, hunters, b11s, seabreezes and starlings and are a total waste of time on armoured vehicles. I think they're a waste of time as regular ammo isn't limited and kills ground players with 1 shot and the only vehicles in PvP it's going to be sort of effective against are lazers, hydras and buzzards and that's only if you can hit both shots before they bail. With all of the more armoured helis and jets they have plenty of time because you'll have to reload and personally when I'm in them I'm not too worried about someone using them on me it's just annoying when I don't know who's shooting at me. The tracer ammo is pointless, incendiary used to be good for people who like cheap tactics but is redundant now and all other types either do the same damage or less than standard ammo

Couple things to note: this guy knows absolutely nothing about pvp. He was using thermal scope on sniper with thermal helmet. If you have a QUAD LENS, use advanced scope. DO NOT get Dual Lens. It's Nightvision and it's ASS. His outfit has a bulky vest (0 protection), a bulky scarf, and a bulky gas mask. All of which makes your thermal dot AND HITBOX much larger on your opponent's screen. Blowing yourself up from cops prevents you from risking being killed easier from players who may sneak up on you. Plus, a respawn is always nice. Cover in pvp is useless unless you are using a building between you and them. DO NOT STAND BEHIND A DUMPSTER. You WILL GET RPG'D (splash damage). Stealth makes you move slower and you will be in trouble if a rocket comes your way. Height is ineffective in pvp. They'll see you coming a mile away. Use ghost org IF you do this. Absolutely worthless. Your thermal dot is easier to see if you're on a building. Special Carbine MK1, or MK2 with AP rounds. Use this as a specialty weapon. Combat MG with no scope and default mag is best. DO NOT USE MINIGUN OR WIDOWMAKER. You move slower and are a much bigger target. Grenade launcher, RPG, Homing. All you need in Heavy. Do not use a MINIGUN vs a jet. Sticky bomb at feet. Aim RPG to sky. Try to aim the RPG so that when the jet comes down, it'll hit them and then you can kill your player with the sticky. Assault shotgun is ass. Get better at headshots and/or use Pump Shotgun MK2 with exp ammo. Getting "under" something versus a jet is only effective if the pilot is a noob and if you're willing to wait it out. Nightshark with sticky is a bit better than the proxies. Cheaper too and you cannot hear stickies from a mile away. Only an idiot will risk flying his mk2 on the ground 💀💀 Regarding the corner thing with the sniper... only an idiot would snipe from that distance. How about using that minigun that you love so much? Would be better to throw a sticky or use grenade launcher/rocket or even combat MG with bullshark. Assault shotgun is a shit idea. Use pump shotgun with explosive ammo I agree with paying attention to the minimap. Critical part of this game. Any true tryhard would take the corner wide and avoid it in general because of the stickies. It's really not the most special idea. Quit watching at 14:00. Don't use the sticky bomb to kill yourself option is not always cringe. For the longest time I used this to make sure my vehicle is not being impounded by the cops when having a wanted level ;) I also used it when fighting although I never been such a tryhard person, so most of the time when I get in a fight I call my RC bandito and drive of so they don't know where I am and just get away from the place where the fight started.

A tip I always use and haven't seen anyone talk about it is highlighting the other player's blip in the contacts. That player will start flashing in the minimap. It's useful when there's multiple players around and know exactly where they are when they respawn.

One tip that is little known is you can force someone to spawn behind you which helps you know exactly where they will be upon respawn. Immediately after you kill them, push and hold in R3 so you look behind and start running that direction. It takes practice but they will always spawn behind you. Same concept when you call in your vehicle, the game always wants to force it to spawn where you're NOT looking.

A survival tip- when shopping, always throw a sticky near the door before going in, and always have grenades equipped. The sticky looks like the proximity bomb, and if the greifer has situational awareness, they'll shoot it, alerting you to the forthcoming shitshow. If they don't shoot it, they'll need to shoot the cashier to allow them to use weapons in the store, meaning they'll be standing in the blast radius of the sticky. When you see the cashier duck, or drop dead- glance at the mini, and let it rip. If you wait for the game to kick you from shopping, it's gonna be too late. If you fail on killing them with the sticky (or they got the drop on you), thats where the grenades come in. spam the drop button as you're being killed. Yes, you still die, but you will have company in your untimely demise. They're usually after K/D anyway, so them being turned into a fine red mist negates the effort they put into being a greifing asshat to start with.

Another tip: be resourceful! If you own a rc bandito and they start going off radar or ghost organization just use it. It will make them lose their advantage by having the element of surprise. Another thing there is a clear hierarchy of vehicles so you should own at least one of each or some big ones examples include, 1, own an armored vehicle with heavy resistance to most offensive tools like a nightshark, insurgent or M.O.C cab 2, have a jet and/maybe a helicopter, offensive ones which include the akula, hunter or savage the B-11 for an all around good jet the starling for dogfighting or the hydra or lazer. Lastly, you should own jack-of-all trades vehicles which are good in alot of areas like the half-track, the toreador and the sparrow which are good for a lot of things. And maybe a tank yes even the rc kind. One last thing if PvP is not your thing there are other tactic you can use against griefers to piss them off like Kosatka fast travel, guided missiles and easy access to the sparrow and toreador and previously mentioned rc bandito, tank and nano drone available to you at all times along with the atomizer which is a pistol that shoots a round that pushes people and things around including pesky cars running you over and corner campers. If you ever use a Heli go into settings and change the first person vehicle perspective to "hood" to make aiming missiles a breeze.
THE DELUXO IS THE MAIN USE IT HAS AMAZING MISSILE DODGEING the toredore is ass in my opinion it has shortest lock on range in the game the missiles has the shortest range of them all it's just more for a setup it's a good vehicle It just don't have good use for fighting in my matter of opinion
How effective is compact emp launcher against players in cars trying to run you over?

@@Brandon-br7tc compact emp is not great, after hitting them they still have all their momentum they just can’t accelerate anymore, so it’d still come flying at you. And as far as the jet thing goes, there are basically only 2 counters for jets and both are when on foot, it’s an ewo loop shooting lucky rpgs up until you get them, or explosive ammo. Exp ammo obviously being the better choice

I’ve been spawn killed by jets on multiple occasions. I find that a decent-good jet flyer is the most annoying thing in the game.
Jets can completely destroy any helicopter and dodge their missiles in the process, same with a toreador. With the Hydra or Laser specifically, they can shred through any ground vehicles like any of the tanks and armored vehicles like the insurgent pickup or half track before you can kill them. Not even a Oppressor Mk2 stands a chance when the jet constantly dodges all missiles by simply turning and the Mk2 runs out. Deluxo and Ruiner 2000 missiles (which are the best in the game)? Yeah, from my experience a jet can casually dodge a barrage of those as well. Jets are just so annoying to me and they are the only vehicle that I struggle highly against in PvP.
I’ll often try and get inside my Pyro (which I think is a pretty good jet for dogfighting another jet), but I admit I’m still trying to get better at flying and aiming with jets while dodging missiles at the same time. Plus, I need to actually get to the plane which is extremely difficult when they’re spawn camping and when I first get in the jet I’m at an extremely vulnerable position when I’m trying to take off. Sometimes even when I go off radar they still see me and of course that just means your dead again. Sure I could go in one of my business, or Kosatka fast travel, or go into passive but getting any form of revenge on them is impossible.

@@havoc2165 I was literally using a fully loaded Ruiner against a jet and yeah sure they didn’t end up killing me because of the armor (also because they kind of gave up, they probably thought I was hacking or something), but I couldn’t kill them either no matter how many missiles I could shoot at them. And literally no missile is better than the Ruiner’s plus they almost destroyed my fully loaded version which is ridiculous lol

Something to note is that you always want to have inconsistent strafe patterns. But something you need to be careful when you're going up against a sweat is never use walls for cover, They will spam explosives at you

Taking cover gives you such a good advantage in a gun fight like with rifles or shotguns. So it’s kinda good that you can negate that with explosives
A tip that may be useful for people who have all the weapons is to make use of the gun lockers and create a custom weapon loadout. This way you can show only your preferred weapons. Once you have one, you can activate or deactivate it on the interaction menu
This helps so much not wasting time scrolling weapons. To make it even better use key bindings to change weapon instead of using the wheel

Very useful for defending myself. 100% of the time I'm never the aggressor. That's why I have a k/d of 0.28. I also learned that in a fair fight, using strafing in first person helps to dodge incoming fire. Tbh I like to play GTA online for the co-op/solo gameplay, not pvp but unfortunately everyone is looking for a fight, especially when they have a mod menu running.

Wow, a lot of pretty good tips. One thing I've learned over the years battling in Los Santos is that a lot of players haven't taken the time to learn the lay of the land. That's why battling on foot is key to help you find those advantageous positions above a player or letting you get to a flank or even completely behind an opponent. Knowledge is power. Also, I still use the grenade launcher quite often. It could be pretty useful when you need to lob or bounce a grenade in on someone who's got great position on you. That's an artform people who have been on since 2013 know very well!
For real. A lot of people don’t realize what makes the Grenade Launcher pretty good in pvp. More effective than just throwing the nades.

The Widowmaker is a midrange ground weapon, its inaccurate far away, but gets easy headshots up close. The mini gun is similar but more accurate, gets head shots from longer distance. Both are ground weapons, but the Mini gun can handle helicopters.
Nah not really… I’m a pretty good heli pilot and i love to hit players with unguided rockets on the ground… if people are pulling out a minigun/widowmaker on me i know their exact position + i usually shoot from the exact distance where the beam of bullets can’t hit me… the only way to bring down a good heli pilot is with the explosive sniper rounds or by aming homing rockets curved away to the left of the target (the rocket makes a U turn sometimes by doing so)

Tip for the heavy grenade launcher, if an enemy is hiding behind a building and you have the high ground, try doing a "Rolling Thunder" tactic. Launch, adjust, repeat until the enemy us destroyed.
The thing i would say about the marksman is it’s definitely a weapon that while requiring little skill to fire, is very effective at close range and even long range vs someone using a Heavy Mk2, and with more skill with the weapon you can handle bigger groups of attacking people a lot faster and more quickly while strafing.
One more thing is, using the mk2’s thermal scope, zooming in and out while aiming through certain buildings will actually allow you to shoot through them, and many building don’t have all the collisions necessary to stop it from happening. Get high up and you can melt through buildings lol.

The Atomizer is useful against God mode players. You won't kill them, but you can ragdoll them until they say "Daddy stop spanking me"
Getting good at reading your mini map is honestly the best advice if you know where they’re going to be or where they are it makes all the difference. Especially if you’re in a jet

After activating thermal vision from interaction menu u can press f11 and your character will lift the lens up and next time when u need it just press f11..its easy this way .. i use this sometimes in pvp when i cannot see the enemy player due to terrain or weather 😀😀
Edit - and i use advanced scope in heavy sniper so i get a little more zoom and the green bars helps me to shoot the target precisely 😁

Certain things can be your friend like the nano drone, the kosatka guided missiles, the rc tank/bandito and the atomizer alk can lead to cheeky kills on people who deserve it
The reason people dont respect bp helmets is because back before bp helmets were even added rng was the main way people fought in freemode. Rng is all about headshots so putting on a bp helmet was an easy way out of a fair fighting style that everyone was already used to. Before bp helmets sniping wasnt even as big as it is today. After sniping became meta it became easier to ewo with the interaction menu bc you cant really do that while rnging. My point basically is that every tryhard tactic emerged in some way as a chain reaction from bp helmets being added. But for someone who hasnt played since day one i can totally see how it would be a no brainer to use a helmet.

First tip should be recon, when you log in to the game have your character pour himself a drink and watch TV while you get a sense for how many psychos are in the session. Did you know you can use your TV to spectate players in free roam? (You should probably turn that off lol)
Another tip for tip #1 instead of going to style to turn the thermal vision off... just hold right on the D-pad on console and flip the visors up and it will take it off and flip it down again to turn it back on without having to use the menu at all. Just set it up b4 you go fight

How good is explosive rounds on a Mk 2 heavy sniper?
To correct you TG:
1. Thermal is overpowered and allows you to shoot through specific buildings while active
2. Always play in first person while sniping
3. Always strafe to avoid being killed easily.
4. Crouching doesn’t give you more cover when aiming down the sights unless in 3rd person.
5. Using height as an advantage is risky. The sane applies to your opponent on the ground. If your enemy is smart they’ll use a rpg or homing rocket. Play at a distance.
6. Special carbine rifle is good but Carbine Rifle mk2 is the best rifle in the game for all stats.
7. Always use mini gun over widowmaker:
8. Use both Mk 1 and Mk2 Heavy Snipers(Mk1 has better range abd render)-Mk has better damage to chest.
9. Marksman is good for close but long fighting, spam it.
10. Assault shotgun is only good for around the corner flanking(I’d would use an rpg because it’s smarter)
11. If you can’t take out aircraft; leave(it saves you time and they won’t stop believe me)
12. For mk2 users, shoot them off with combat MG mk2 in first person. Or use chaff on your mk2 and pop it before they get to you and kill them.
13. Props to TG to play defensive even if you’re the aggressor(play smart and wait, use explosives always especially grenade launcher).
14. As TG said Look at People and their organization as well as KD for info. If they hop in CEO, leave. If they get in mc, they’re getting on mk2. This is assuming they weren’t already in it. If they hop in CEO during sniping, they’re grabbing BST.
15. Always use snacks and body armor.
16. If you’re uncomfortable with vehicle combat, fight on ground and make your enemy do so by force( either because their vehicle is destroyed or they can’t access you).
17. Use heist invites from Lester to teleport. You can use the Casino to teleport as well. Additionally, you can use your agency to teleport as well.
18. Use mini tank and rc car to escape Greifers or get kills. Note: you don’t respawn where they blow up anymore.

@@bayoak ik if you buy a penthouse for the casino you unlock the phone. With this phone you have several locations around the map that you can spawn to. As to the agency, you have to talk to the guy at the counter and he too as that option. As to Lester heists, you just need to have started one, either doomsday or the original and he’ll send you random invites which will teleport you to your house or facility. From there you can exit and leave your property.

One tip about sniping is that don’t always zoom all the way, zoom like at least half way on the scope or don’t zoom in at all if you like. Because chances are is that you’re gonna end up killing your opponent with a headshot without zooming in all the way. (If they’re at least MEDIUM & especially LONG RANGE)

I got a new list for console player's
1. On playstation if you open the weapon wheel, you can press up on the D-pad to eat snacks and heal yourself
2. Never go into a shootout without body armor
3. MK2 like other motorcycles can be auto-aimed at, so let them come into range
4. If you hold up the right stick just a little bit every time you auto-aim your going to get a lot more headshots
5. the heavy revolver MK2 one shots in the chest. So if you think they don't wear body armor go with the revolver if you have him
6. the heavy MG MK2 shreds but it has a lot of spreed so either get close or longer distance with the extra zoom you get by aiming and pressing R3 it tightens it a lot, you will however be forced to free aim
7. Jet's Cannon shreds, it's fast, it's cool, can avoid missile's by turning, but they are fragile as hell. Hit it a few times with a sniper, the pilot is done just a matter of time
8. You can refill your ammo in the interaction menu, under inventory.
9. If they activate ghost organization, do the same with a small delay so you can estimate when they'll be visible again
10. Finally tipp don't engage in PVP, best way to play GTA is with friend's, second best is alone, the worst way is with rando tryhard's

also if your being attacked alot or if your in a vehicle and there are killjoy oppressor mk2's it's a good idea to convert your regular Minimap to the "extended radar"
it's also useful if your in a building, you'll still have the extended Minimap, I mean you can't see the mini-mimimap when your in building which sucks if your doing missions that require combat inside buildings

While spamming (reload cancelling) rockets can be seen as a tryhard thing, it will usually result in you winning the fight. Its pretty easy too
I would consider it not tryhard if your going up against armoured vehicles since you are at the disadvantage to begin with
Rockets>EWO and BST, they will one hit kill 99.9% of the time which is why sweats will instantly whine when you use them in a ground fight.

Another tip for fighting an aircraft is take oppressor and get to one of the ledges on side of maze bank and use heavy sniper rifle mk2 w explosive rounds.. jet user will have a hard time trying to find out exactly where you are.while they are circling around trying to find you snipe the jet out. Use off radar to give yourself chance to get up there and set up
Tip 11: to start pvp make a dynasty weenie with the taxi livery and modifications. Then drive near ANY player, honk the horn, ask em if they called for a taxi. They will shoot you in the face 100%. Then you have a legitimate target. Have fun!

About the limited missiles you say: often when i fighting grifers in a jet with the opressor i am shooting around 15 misslies and just pick the normal missles and the one in jet thinking that i am already ran out of them

@@figgledoi Get another mk2 with explosive mgs, they can damage jets enough to get them to fuck off most of the time. Not a good counter but it's funny watching them fly away from a hoverbike with boom boom rounds while they have explosive cannons of death.

Dude I can't stress enough about the mini map one. I play with so many people and they'll say something like "where are they" I want to scream out everytime "LOOK AT THE DAMN MINI MAP". It's hard to get used to at first but I made it a habit to look at my mini map everywhere I go.
When using thermal and ur opponent is just out of range of vision, u can shoot rpg towards ur target and the fire of the rpg will glow up ur target for easier snipe ☺️

the dual lens is night vision, not thermal. You also dont have to turn off the thermal in the menu, you can raise the lenses which will turn it off.. just use rais and lower with whichever button your platform uses..hold right D pad for PS4

The advice about not always running to a vechial is a good one as someone like me who fights griefers can pull out any weaponized vechial including a fully loaded ruiner and the sparrow makes shooting down jets rather easy unless they are a darn good pilot

I prefer the mk2 since I like to change the colour and the red dot is really good for free aim but it has no drum mag option. However I'm a.compulsibe reloader from other FPS games so I rarely get through the 60 mag anyway let alone a full drum mag which means I'd be wasting it and getting slower reloads

Its pretty simple to get people to run out of buildings, all I do is call them a bitch or something and they get mad and run out this also makes for a good opportunity to plant a sticky bomb or some sort of trap near the door.

Nearly every tactic, every vehicle, every weapon has a 50/50 counter and probably a hard counter. Build up a mental database of what works against what, where, and why, plus exceptions. Read your opponent's mind and tactic; know what his plan requires, and then break it. A jet beats a helo everytime, until the helo hides behind a building.
Pvp in this game is toxic and usually accomplishes nothing except losing time and money; most encounters devolve into sniper battles (on a terrible game engine) and no one can agree on what is an acceptable part of the game. Enjoy it when it's good; quit quickly when it goes bad (switch servers, heist warp, whatever). Don't argue. Dont spend your gaming time being angry.
Reflect on your deaths. Learn from others.
This is a game of weird, undiscoverable details inside weird glitches inside weird UI inside inconsistent rules. It takes dozens of hours to get a handle on what should basic things. For example, vehicles will switch weapons differently when you hit TAB/X. I still always check it. Know that cops ruin homing lock ons. etc etc etc etc etc
(a) homing launcher flies faster (dont ADS and it wont lock on, working like a faster rpg). Only holds 10.
(b) grenade launcher holds 10, unless you're also holding a compact grenade, in which case you get 20

I wouldn't say jets beat helis every time. I've often used the buzzard to take down jets the mgs on it are mad, the savage can work too but is clunkier. The akula is also a beast against them so I bet the hunter can be too. Just make sure to keep mobile, change altitude and keep facing them and when they come at you fire rockets before they're in cannon range (because 90% of them will be lazers right?) and they'll either be hit or pull off at which point you fire the mgs. With this I rarely lose against a jet but then they'll usually call an oppressor mk2. This is all skill dependent of course because I have only been taken out of jets by a Heli twice as far as I can remember
@@damienmcdonald7610 My thought is that with skill, you can overcome a strong, natural disadvantage (which i think helos have against jets). In other words, you in a jet could probably win more times against you in a helo (in the long run, developing strats).
Out of curiosity, what do you do against a dive bombing planes or planes with chaff? In a 2 person hunter, my friend and I happily take on jets (stay higher, use cover, chaff at lock on range), MK2 (chaff, missile spam), heavy armor tanks and insurgents (stay overhead), etc. Some of the best fun in the game.

The Akula is good for surprise attacks. Chernobog is good for killing distracted Broomsticks that are causing trouble. RC PVs are great for nabbing tryhards. Blending into traffic and then suddenly darting at them works quite well.
Back when I fought on the ground a lot (devolved a long time ago) I would let the cops kill me, rather than suiciding. Feels less scummy.

a tip that's useful for number 10 is that if they keep going in and out place a proximity mine near the entrance and it will always kill them.
Also i would consider having a heist setup ready, either at an apartment or the facility. Have your text from lester ready for you to jump into your facility or apartment if the fight gets too crazy or you are being greifed by a group. Too many times have i gone to my facility, flown to my yacht, and sitting pretty with my defenses on :)

the rpg is high key the best close range weapon, shotgun is good if there is a hill in the way but sniper / rpg is really the ultimate combo, maybe a cheeky atomiser if ur spicy

No hate towards this but mini gun around corners don’t waste time with tactical shotgun or anything in close range it’s faster will save you if you use it the widow makers is a alternative but can make it easier for players at further range to see you if your in a vehicle and the thermal helmet is the best for off radar scrubs who go ghost a lot just find the moving blip coming towards you because other players blips will show up so there is no mix up

Police are not such a great threat, their aim resembles hawkeyes usefulness without arrows and if you are killed one shot anyway there is no point in doing that.

Plant a proximity bomb or a C4 on the side or middle of the side walk they are most likely to roll out of and detonate it once you see them. If you have time put a second one as backup even better.
Alot of people might look at it a little scummy but if your being griefed and don't have any other options to get away I suggest using the RC car or RC tank it's a sure way to get away if it's available.
Or use mk pump shotgun with explosive rounds. I've won many gun fights with that thing

As long as I'm not doing anything I love when molders teleport every one to one spot I usually get away faster while every one's loading in and I tend to hug the walls as I'm booking it out of there just the rush of running out of there before every one starts blowing up everything and holding down a small alleyway while every one scaters is just amazing not fun if it's spammed
6:56 to be fair, any of the Lazer guns are basically FMJ so i prefer it over the regular mini gun just because you can pierce bulletproof windows with out the expense of special ammunition and in some cases it just shoots thru armored vehicles. Plus it sounds cool 😎

explosive Mk2 Heavy is great for anti air. with the extended range of objects on next gen. hitting jet greifers is easy. use a RCPV to hide from direct attacks and hit try hards on foot, and then RC Tank aswell. if you don't have cops on you you can also use the RCPV to teleport to a garage door and decide to go in or not

if you have a player off radar, or in a rc vehicle,most people dont know to turn off spectator..so if you have a friend playing with you, change the channel on your tv...any of your tvs to player and find his name..you can relay his exact location to your friend as you can see both of their locations

What's your opinion on exploding sniper rounds? Cause it seems that sometimes I have to shoot someone more than once with exploding rounds unless they're in an unarmored vehicle
Explosive sniper rounds are interesting they can be good or bad depending on what you’re using them for, I don’t personally use them but I get them used on me a lot lol

Explosive rounds usually take 1-2 for unarmed vehicles, 2-5 for people(someone using BST with full armour will be 5 and they can still spam snacks and armour whilst being shot I do this to people that use explosive rounds if they start lol) 2 for lazers and hydras, 3 for buzzard's and savages, 4 for sparrows, 5 for akulas, hunters, b11s, seabreezes and starlings and are a total waste of time on armoured vehicles. I think they're a waste of time as regular ammo isn't limited and kills ground players with 1 shot and the only vehicles in PvP it's going to be sort of effective against are lazers, hydras and buzzards and that's only if you can hit both shots before they bail. With all of the more armoured helis and jets they have plenty of time because you'll have to reload and personally when I'm in them I'm not too worried about someone using them on me it's just annoying when I don't know who's shooting at me. The tracer ammo is pointless, incendiary used to be good for people who like cheap tactics but is redundant now and all other types either do the same damage or less than standard ammo
Fun fact if you have a weapon workshop on something like the kosatka you can buy any Mk2 weapon with having the lvl for it like the heavy sniper

Couple things to note: this guy knows absolutely nothing about pvp.
He was using thermal scope on sniper with thermal helmet. If you have a QUAD LENS, use advanced scope.
DO NOT get Dual Lens. It's Nightvision and it's ASS.
His outfit has a bulky vest (0 protection), a bulky scarf, and a bulky gas mask. All of which makes your thermal dot AND HITBOX much larger on your opponent's screen.
Blowing yourself up from cops prevents you from risking being killed easier from players who may sneak up on you. Plus, a respawn is always nice.
Cover in pvp is useless unless you are using a building between you and them. DO NOT STAND BEHIND A DUMPSTER. You WILL GET RPG'D (splash damage). Stealth makes you move slower and you will be in trouble if a rocket comes your way.
Height is ineffective in pvp. They'll see you coming a mile away. Use ghost org IF you do this. Absolutely worthless. Your thermal dot is easier to see if you're on a building.
Special Carbine MK1, or MK2 with AP rounds. Use this as a specialty weapon. Combat MG with no scope and default mag is best.
DO NOT USE MINIGUN OR WIDOWMAKER. You move slower and are a much bigger target. Grenade launcher, RPG, Homing. All you need in Heavy. Do not use a MINIGUN vs a jet. Sticky bomb at feet. Aim RPG to sky. Try to aim the RPG so that when the jet comes down, it'll hit them and then you can kill your player with the sticky.
Assault shotgun is ass. Get better at headshots and/or use Pump Shotgun MK2 with exp ammo.
Getting "under" something versus a jet is only effective if the pilot is a noob and if you're willing to wait it out.
Nightshark with sticky is a bit better than the proxies. Cheaper too and you cannot hear stickies from a mile away. Only an idiot will risk flying his mk2 on the ground 💀💀
Regarding the corner thing with the sniper... only an idiot would snipe from that distance. How about using that minigun that you love so much? Would be better to throw a sticky or use grenade launcher/rocket or even combat MG with bullshark.

For the longest time I used this to make sure my vehicle is not being impounded by the cops when having a wanted level ;)
I also used it when fighting although I never been such a tryhard person, so most of the time when I get in a fight I call my RC bandito and drive of so they don't know where I am and just get away from the place where the fight started.
