The people of Dande are of the Nzou Samanyanga totem. These were conquered by Mutota (dziva totem) when he reneged from Great Zimbabwe.Hevtook with him his subjects and army generals of the Moyo chirandu totem(original moyos) with him. The dande then became subjects of Mutota.Some moved inland claiming to be descended from Mutota. There is no moyo or nzou who is a descendant of Mutota. Mutota people are of the dziva mvuu, dziva hungwe, and dziva ngwena totem only.They descended from Dzivaguru, an arch spirit medium who is believed to be a descendant of Cush the son of Ham. Nzou and Moyo totems cant be mixed they are quite different. All totems came from the dziva totem, a totem whose roots are in marine powers of the Nile in Nubia, where the ancestors of the Zimbabweans came from.
