i work in a Search And Rescue team for 27 years responding to victims of super typhoons, floods and earthquakes. i noticed if only they’veprepared, they wouldn’t be in a dire situation. the 3 problems were always water, food, 1st aid and shelter. and in addition, a radio to communicate (even cellphones won’t work because the cell towers were destroyed or no electricity to power them), liner bags/ziplock everything to waterproof them. i see you’re more than prepared….

Quite comprehensive. I'm in the process of doing the same thing for my household. Plan to actually load it all in my vehicle and see what fits and what doesn't. Thanks.

Doesn't your battle rattle fit in a container? Then you could just load that quicker?

How do you plan to transport this? Inside a vehicle, or on some sort of trailer?

I’m trying to work out why this channel only has a couple of thousand subs. The videos are jam packed with gear and professional advice from someone that obviously knows his stuff. It seems like the popular channels select news items and make commentary about it. Much of that commentary has no prior knowledge base but is grounded on commonsense and that’s about it. These channels like Canadian Prepper, full spectrum and survivor Lilly get close to a million subs. Go figure!

i have found that the major difference between gas and wood cooking while bugging out, is that if you dont want to be seen, gas does not leave a smoke sign. Also its a lot faster to get up and running with gas if needing to be on the move quicker.

Great setup. I was recheck ingredients my stuff as you went along. I keep basically the same kit except for one person. In my 70's so I bought single and double wheel bicycle cargo trailers, folding handtrtruck and a 800lb capacity gorilla cart. It's all flat land here so it's easier to pull stuff, lesson learned watching homeless with shopping carts. We had a homeless old woman who used to move about 20 shopping bags full of stuff all over the city. She would carry two bags one block, put them down and go back for two more. She would travel throughout Montréal very slowly walking back and forth. Ukraine has made me rethink my strategy. A bustling modern city can turn into a desolate wilderness overnight.

Bugging out is the last option, but it has to be a covered option. We never know if there will be a big fire in our area, or a civil attack, bombs, some kind of infection, evacuation... A million things could happen and not being prepared is a death statement

All our stuff 2 adults and 4 kids for camping fills a short bed truck. Thats for a week camping. We have a berkey and point well at gtfo camp. But still have bottled water. We keep a tote for camp kitchen. And a tote of misc like bug sprays, radios, lights, and other camping related items. I have old wwii rucksack. Ifak, game dressing kit, fire starting, lights, trash bags, balloons, vise grips, duct tape, silicon, ball bearings and sling shot, some playing cards, and trappers bible. A dipole antenna is small and light weight. It takes 1.5 hours to load up everything breaking camp. Found our luggage topper bag works great for cloths and blankets. A tarp is a must when camping. It always rains. My family bug out gear is more camping and hunting oreinted. So everyone has fishing kit. We have a few ifak and adventuring first aid kit. Burns do happen when cooking over open fires. Always keep extra lighter in first aid kits. Some thread for stitches is handy too.

Great loadouts. I especially like the idea of putting the back-up or extra radios in a plastic ziplock bag to help protect it from water and weather. One question about your comms kit/electronics kit, what ziplock bag did you use to store the back-up baofeng radio? I can tell it's a thicker plastic bag, if you could tell me what the dimensions and maybe what thickness it is.

Seems well setup for a grab and go so you can grab what you need for the problem or all of it to go if you have to. Bit also have the individual level sorted out incase you can't have the rest.

Didn't make it 3 minutes after that annoying background music started! Still a fan, just not a fan of that music.
