- It’s the second year of business on Africa’s biggest trading platform, the Africa Continental Free Trade Area. Eight countries; Cameroon, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, Rwanda, Tanzania and Tunisia are already participating in the AfCFTA’s Guided Trade Initiative. We examine how economic growth through regional integration can reduce poverty, cut inequality and foster the inclusive development pillars of the AU’s Agenda 2063.

the problems #i see is first to merge the payment systems of the different blocks to facilitate easy conversion.
They are looking to have one African currency eventually I think I heard in a previous show
AFCTA will gain momentum eventually.
This is what Africa has been waiting for!
Single market is the way to prosperity in Africa.
But why are countries dragging their feet ?
Most of the businesses are owned by the politicians and they will be threatened by competition in africa

Third phase of colonisation: access to new territory.... Outsourcing the already giant companies under the guise of increase national exports... Of what? For who? AND from WHO? Easy take over , common(?)wealth anchoring
So more intra african trade but foreign investment without their usual overbearing agendas? ...will foreign partners especially west and china settle for that? When they have profited so much in the past, how will this acfta be protected from saboteurs?
