Excellent quality video & presentation. The excellent weather helped, too. The best video presentations of Flam, Loen, and Geiranger that I have found on UA-cam. I saw your Flam video first and initially thought it was a professional presentation by a local travel company. Followed up with Loen and Geiranger -- both equally as good. We will be doing 14 days starting September 1st in Oslo and driving to Kristiansand, Stavanger, and Bergen before heading towards Flam, Loen, and Geiranger. From there driving the Trolls Path to Andalsnes, the Atlantic Ocean Road, and Kristiansund before heading back to Oslo via Lillehammer. I notice you have a Norway Mountains & Waterfalls Highlights video. Going to view that now for some possible ideas. Thanks for your quality work.
Thanks a lot! Appreciate your feedback 😊. Wow, you will certainly see a lot on your trip. From the southern coast to the mountains and fjords. My Mountains & Waterfall video might not be on your planned path, except for maybe the last couple of destinations, but do have a look. have a nice trip!
@@erikssc You are right. Everything after 16:20 in the Highlights video was pertinent to our trip. I would not have known about Låtefossen without your video, though. Can't squeeze that one into our trip, but it certainly is "amazing" (as your son says). I also liked your sausage lunch @ 7:26. Will keep an eye out for that kind of menu item on our trip. I previously had reduced our stay in Bergen to 1.5 days after learning about Vøringsfossen -- and your Highlights video confirmed my decision. Gorgeous, professional-looking presentation of that waterfall. We will spend the first part of the morning in Bergen (Grieg House) and then drive to Vøringsfossen. We will stay in Voss and then head to Flam early the next day. We have a full day planned in Flam: fjord cruise, train to Myrdal, and biking back to Flam. Hope we have your kind of weather (that's why I've been asking about the dates of your trip). Thanks again for your excellent travelogues.
Thank you for sharing the fun, relaxing itineraries for Geiranger. I am planning a solo trip to visit Norway next April and Geiranger was not in the itinerary. Now that after watching your video, I would fly from Bergen (my landing point, then to Flam) to Alesund, then get to Hellesylt by bus (?), then ferry out to Geiranger village. I would also stay at the hotel you guys stayed. Would there a better way to travel from Bergen to Alesund and then to Geiranger? Thank you for the highly informative and inspiring travel video.
There is an option of taking the boat from Bergen to Ålesund (Hurtigruten), but it takes a while and is not the cheapest option I think. Since we went by our own car I must admit that I am not that familiar with all the other options. Have a great trip though! :)
thank you for sharing your experience & beautiful video!! we will be at Geiranger in about 3 weeks so watching all your helpful tips & awesome videos!! great use of the 3D maps, can you share how or where can you find it to use it? Thank you!
Glad you liked the video! For my 3D animation I use Google Earth Pro. It is free to download and use from Google. And they allow it to be used in UA-cam videos so its a great tool!
Hi, yes it is quite a large public parking area right in the centre in front of the marina. If you search "Geiranger" on Google maps and turn to "Satellite" view it is very visible.
Norway 🇸🇯 is really a paradise...I love this country so much
😊
WOW this was great!!! We are adding to our itenery after watching this. I want to sit in the Queens chair the view!!!Thank you so much!!
Thanks! Have a great trip! 😊
Beautiful place, great video! The boat trip is very nice.
Thank you Stuart! Yes, well worth a visit :)

Great video. I watched 4 or 5 others before stumbling across yours. Great info on the various sites.

Hi can I know what options we have in geiranjer to explore all these places for people who are not traveling by their own vehicle ?
Sorry, not quite sure of the details, but there are many tours you can join.
Lovely
Thanks :)

👏👏👏👏
Thanks! 😊
Hi, did you self drive to those location e.g. Dalsnibba Skywalk? Or do you hire a driver+car? Thanks.
Yes we self drove and had our own car with us the whole time.
@@erikssc Thank you. I plan to hire a car for 3-4 days from Alesund airport.
Yes, that's probably a good idea. Will make you much more free to do what you want.
Hei vi skal ha litt helgtur til flåm,geiranger eller loen. Hvilken anbefaler deg?
Takk :)

Is it easy to find public parking?

@@erikssc Great! I'm travelling during the summer so I was worried space would be limited during peak times but it looks like a large area.
@@catherineim2431 Have a great trip! 😊
Is it true that in gerainger, norway, the sun does not set? So there is no night
Not true. Only in Northern Norway they have some part of the summer where the sun does not set. In the winter though its the reverse no sun...
At what a time of the year?
This was at the end of July.
