War Thunder New Fox-3 Update
War Thunder AiM-120 R-77 MICA AAM4 PL12 ADARTER FOX-3
🔎 HASHTAGS 🔎
#warthunder #warthunder - Ігри
I honestly cant wait for these missiles to be added to war thunder. My only issue with that could possibly be an issue is the multipathing but other than that it could be a solid update.
Can’t wait too, the update can be released from now until June 12
It'll be a pretty slick update
Without multipathing this would be cancer
@@elkrumb9159 Thats why you learn actual missile evasion tactics like notching and beaming
@@soullessrat5875 Yeah no shit, that being said war thunder is not built for that kind of gameplay, Sim should be a test bed to at least reduce multipahthing
Besides the Multipath issue, I’m glad how this is turning out. The Gripen is a BFM powerhouse, but against an F-15, it’s constantly being pushed down and defending. If an F-15 plays its cards right (again ignoring multipathing), it will always have the advantage.
This is factual!
"The eagle is cool"
-Somebody is history probably
Whats the multipath issue?
Sad that the derby and the r darter are the same irl they have some differences
You should pitch the F4f ice against a j8f or tornado ADV or something I think that would be really cool to see❤
This ain't a bad lineup. Noted!
ima be real, in a joust, its going to go to the F.3, even without amraams. do not know about the j8. what would be cool to see how a fa.2 handles against the 4th gens with bvraams
kinda funny how well they perform for a missile that isnt even modelled with the correct parameters.
None of these missiles will be correctly 100% modeled
@@AeroTurtle no shit Sherlock how long you been playing WT ?
@@N1mr fuck you Watson he was replying to op, pkus its the dev server, at least rub your 2 brain cells together before commenting like a dumbass
Fool me once shame on me. Fool me twice shame on me. Fool me three times and its still on me! I have a bad habit from playing DCS where the only real way to dodge a fox 2 is to pull up or down dumping flares because they come out of the bottom in the F15. If you don't pull up you usually eat a missile and die which led to me getting R-Darters for breakfast lunch and dinner. Good fights :)
Good fights indeed!!! Yeah rdarter in the merge is dangerous. Ngl I didn't know the do stuff like that until the fight xD
can see from a 1v1 easily that in a n vs n match, as long as one missile truck dumped its whole load, the entire enemy team has to dive and dance, even for sim this would be a big mess
Just realized that the derby is only the old version.
There are still the
I-derby and I-derby-er to be added.
It would be nice if u make a video about radar's now, I guess now it's going to be much more important which fighter has the better radar
This is factual!
The r-darter seems exceptional in turning capabilities but the aim120 sustains energy much better so in BVR the aim120 would win
aim120 is for sure my top pick
Since they gave big protein pills to chaffs is a good point to remove multipath, at least for SB
It seems they tweaked it a bit
the Derby/R-Darter in close ranges and for close combat scenarios is really formidable, thats because is based off the Python-4 which is a dogfight missile, the derby was modified a lot but the israeli engineers wanted to keep some of the dogfight capabilities that the Python-4 have to make it a really scary missile in really close combat.
It's pretty spooky in close range ngl. Not MICA spooky, but spooky. They did a good job!
Not even really playing air much anymore until they get added
Just waiting on my US AV-8B i dont want to buy another premium inorder to get it but shit that Amx A1a is lookin pretty good. It also seems to be the only jet with a proper ccrp line or working count down letting you know when to release your lizards.
premium amx do look smexy
damn yeah you werent kidding about the aspect ratio
Yup xDD
i saw you the dev server and absolutely shit myself
XDDDD
В итоге никакого теста ракет так и не увидел. Все что увидел это что ракета сбивает противника который не летит у земли, спасибо, с этим справляются и текущие ракеты.
Do you think the missile that R darter that went into the ground in the first fight is because you locked it onto the incoming amraam and because the 120 is prolly flying at mach 3 and pulling 30-50gs your missile over lead it too much causing it to behave in the way it did?
I have no idea if the game has this detail coded tho
I think that might have been the case
I think your trying to say it lead to the right so couldn't lead to the left?
Hey can anyone tell me what was the song playing in the background at the end before the trailer 12:41
Did they ever fix the missiles going for chaff way to easily?
It seems to be better. I had to dump like 30 chaff at high altitude to narrowly avoid a R-77
Where are you finding the bots at
this is just another confirmation that the r27er is still going to be the king of top tier: it ignores multipath because once it kicks in the innertial guidance already strikes, it is a whole mach number faster than the fox3s and since it is used at more closer range it will be harder to defeat in general.
I doubt it'll be king, but it will be useful
@@AeroTurtle well the r27er (and r24r) are the most consistent at overcoming multipath and it's an issue that affects the rest of fox1s very notably even despite having larger warheads. The problem is that the R27ER still proxies on you when you go 10m away from the missile while the rest of missiles have just a 3m proximity sensor.
Could someone please enlighten me as to what multipathing is ?
This is very dumbed down but, if you fly low enough every radar missile will miss. In war thunder it is modeled incorrectly.
Can someone fill me in on what multi pathing is ?
This is dumbed down of course. If you fly low enough all radar missiles will miss.
To me these missiles have changed the meta SLIGHTLY.
Before the gameplay was mostly, stay low into the battlefield, merging with the enemy and using your plane to get good Fox-2 shots. And your Fox-1’s were mostly to punish people that went high. This for me was the meta and led me to a relatively good spot on the leaderboard in most matches where I didn’t get outplayed by the first plane I saw. So much so that before the dev server, I was rocking 1 Fox-1 on my planes, and as many Fox-2’s as I could. The Fox-1 was good for punishing someone that floated too high for too long, and the Fox-2s were for everything else.
But now with the performance of these Fox-3 missiles, I think the meta is going to be more about forcing people off of the deck.
Like in your first fight, the F-15 was competing quite well, however at the last second he popped off the deck, and the darter punished him for it.
I’ve done this on the dev working together with teammates. Fox-2’s can be beat by keeping distance, or flaring in a specific way, but the Fox-3’s can only really be beat at distance, and on the deck.
So close up if you are within 10km, if someone comes off the deck there’s a good chance a Fox-3 is going to connect.
Regardless of how you want to play the game after the update, the Fox-3’s are much better than the Fox-2’s at any distance greater than 2km. As long as you can get the enemy to stay off of the ground.
So I’ll probably be bringing mostly Fox-3’s. And 2 fox-2’s for those moments I get in too close.
To add on, a lot of Fox 3s are more effective the higher altitide you go. Meaning F-16 with the AIM-120A will probably be super deadly because of its acceleration and high speed. The ability to climb and gain speed will be benificial.
Fox 3s offers way more gameplay than jist Fox 2 where you keep your distance or jam the WEZ (which is hard already) or use proper flaring patterns.
@@croskerk your options are certainly broadened with the Fox-3.
I will also add a note, data link appears to not be working. Firing around teammates seems to be a bad idea in general, the missile will straight up ignore your locked target and go for a teammate. This is more of a side note really. But it’s clearly not working.
@@corybrown2197 Yeah im almost 100% certain that in warthunder all fox3's entirely lose the ability to get datalink guidance from the mothership the moment they turn active and start tracking something with their own radar. Which also would contribute to how easy they are not notch rn as well(in tandem with just poor notch gates and the recent massive chaff buff).
When will the update be available anyone know ?
couple days probably. Week max, I assume.
I wish more war thunder youtubers used Miles/Knots for their measurement units, its so much more natural than km for aviation.
It really is!
Why do you use multipathing so much in every bvr vid go cold or something else
To display how much of a problem it is
@@AeroTurtle agreed 👍
@@AeroTurtleWhy not just avoid using it so your fights are better? Everyone watching these videos already know how much of a problem it is.
@@Syvern. I've met people who don't even know multipathing exist. Although that does give me an idea. Perhaps I'll make a BVR video with a hard deck of like 1000 feet.
Were it not for multipathing, these missiles would all be op... remember that when you complain. It cant be real life guys.
YUP
Stock grind? No Radar missiles? Tough luck bro, skill issue even *gets pelted by radar missiles until you die.*
I like multipathing in the same way I like flanking, gives you another way to play the game that works for certain vehicles either stock or ir missile only; better to go low and force the enemy to at least give you a fighting chance than be as vulnerable on the deck as you are at high altitude.
'no drawbacks to flying low', flying low requires you look where you're going, which means you're more vulnerable to people sneaking up on you and to IR missiles. Either you have mountains that give you radar 'shade' but are harder to navigate at lower altitude or flatter terrain where you have no such shade and have to rely solely on being low enough for missiles to misfire (which, contrary to the opinion that seems to be given, mostly from the one *launching* missiles, is still hair-raising, you never know when you're *just* not quite low enough or the proximity sensor is *just* close enough to kill you)
Or just take a few minutes and learn how to notch a radar or bleed their speed??
"Realistic" game not being realistic is pretty dumb. Shouldn't be adding these missiles since its not even changing the low altitude furball bullshit.
If you think the R-Darter is strong wait till they add they A-Darter
A-darter shouldn't ever be added. I'm aware of what it could do.... 0_0
Whos the f15 PILOT LOL WHAT IS BRO DOING
