- Setenta is a Cuban salsa move danced all over the world and it's basic structure is built upon to create more complex patterns. This video lesson covers the basic setenta steps all beginner dancers should learn. Nick and Serena initiate the move with a simple guapea followed by an outside turn but in some parts of the world the move begins with a Vacila. Thank you for the videos! I just started learning Casino and have been trying to practice with a Cuban but it's hard for him to teach me as he only knows what to do as a leader. This helps a lot! It's such a fun dance!

If he learned to dance in Cuba, then the geometry will be quite different (ie. more Cuban, less American), so I'd say maintain your casino frame and just trust his lead

What is "Cuban salsa"? I know what son, mambo, cha cha cha, pachanga, guajira, guaracha and casino are. But I've never heard of "Cuban salsa". Or do you just mean casino?
Technically Casino but a lot of newbies know it as "Cuban Salsa" so we go with that.
Pasaporte by Alendar Abreu love that song! But when I see members of my Cuban family they let their hips sway is fun to watch and without any lessons that I’m aware of. You’re born with the fate! Love ! Love! Love it! Sabor!
