Calafiori is a quality defender but his good looks gives him a sort of superstar AURA so he's a bit hyped up. I do think he can be worldclass though .

nah they speak facts, everything arsenal do needs to be criticised. if arsenal sign this donny, there's no way that it can be spun negatively. when you looked at arsenal last year, the whole left hand side struggled to function, both defensively, in build up, chance creation and goals. There is a lot of room to improve that left hand side significantly, part of that is identify a player who can occupy that left back role indefinately. hopefully calafiori is that guy for us, now they are things that concern me, his injury record is not great, he is very young still for a defender and, obviously his adaptability in the prem is unknown, for £45m even in this transfer environment that's quite a few questions marks for a player with that valuation. With that being said though, arteta track record of recruiting defenders is pretty damn good really, tomiyasu, white, timber, gabriel, zinchenko (i honestly think people do too much with, he's not a great defender, but the primary objective of him being deployed at left back is really not to defend, its too overload the midfield allowing us to have more technicians on the pitch that can unlock low blocks) all decent players, kiwor is alright and david luiz was a mess (cant remember if we signed him under arteta, but regardles he was awful and saliba was not arteta signing. So arsenal fans should take some comfort in that.
