2 questions (maybe stupid ones)
1. why they always load the 2nd barrel ?
2. why they blow the smoke out of the barel after a shot
1. I’ve been told that the bottom barrel directs the recoil of the shot more into your shoulder due to its lower position in the gun instead of using the top barrel where the recoil is directed more into the shooters face/upwards due to the barrels higher position within the gun.
2. They blow the smoke out of the barrel because if they don’t, when they set the gun down the smoke will drift upwards and back into their face.

Jake Tim I’ve shot Olympic Trap/Bunker/Trench in At least a dozen different fields in the USA and England and it was required to shoot there. Just seems like a reasonable safety requirement. Maybe if I take them off, I’ll get better scores.
i shoot olympic trap and it’s stated in the rules book that it is encouraged to wear glasses but not necessary for trap and double trap, but it is compulsory for skeet
Jake Tim skeet, no brainer. I’ve dug pellets out of my arm and leg from station 9. I guess it just seemed so odd to see a shooter without glasses, and I’ve shot thousands of rounds in all the games and never saw that before. Good luck to those without. Thanks for keeping me “Straight “

Bloody awful camera direction. You missed showing us so many shots. Terrible just terrible. It would be nice if the commentators spoke about what was going on. It sounded like I was listening in to a private conversation.. Unwatchable.

If its single trap why do they use over/under instead of a single barrel shotgun. Was good to watch
ewanburnett for Olympic trap they use over under because they can shoot twice at the target if the first shot is missed. Only in the finals they can only shoot once.
