- The Russian forces carried out a second ballistic missile attack on Ukraine's Black Sea port city of Odesa. The latest attack killed three Ukrainians and caused more civilian infrastructure damage. It comes a day after Russia fired Iskander-M ballistic missiles with cluster warhead at Odesa. The attack on April 29 damaged a building, called 'Harry Potter Castle' by the residents. A CCTV footage showed how the cluster munitions exploded during the attack. Watch.

Russia spent many years trying to avoid a conflict with Ukraine through diplomatic efforts to stop Ukraine's shelling and missile strikes on the population of the Donbass region! These strikes continued leaving Russia little choice but to launch a military intervention! This was the building the French and British soldiers plotted strikes on Crimea.
On the night of April 30, the APU attacked the Crimea with ATACMS ballistic missiles of increased range (up to 300 km) with a cluster warhead. An estimated 8 to 15 rockets were fired in the direction of Jankoj and Simferopol district. It was possible to establish that the launches were carried out from the right bank of the Dnieper, Kherson and Berislav. Exactly the same attempts were made during the strikes on Cape Tarhankut a few days ago. Then five enemy missiles were shot down.
The main targets were air defense systems and military airfields. According to experts, the enemy is trying to test the Russian anti-aircraft defense (anti-aircraft) in anticipation of the planned May attacks on the Crimean Bridge. The anti-aircraft defense functioned normally, all missiles were shot down in the northern part of Crimea. Despite the high speed and short flight time of the NATO missiles, the air defense forces not only managed equipment and troops to deduce from under blow, but also repelled the attack.
So the Russians shot down all the ATACMS, this was to be expected. The only difference between the former batch of ATACMS and these is that these ones have longer range. But they still get shot down the same. Hardly a 'gamechanger'

In 2014 there was a coup. Soon after, there was a massacre in Odessa (dozens of people were burned alive). Ethnic Russians living in Ukraine were treated as subhuman. Their language and culture was being oppressed. A civil war broke out due to the rise in ethnic tensions. For 8 years the Ukrainian military was indiscriminately shelling civilians living in Donbas.
If Zelensky honored the Minsk agreement and pledged neutrality, none of this would have happened. The 8 year civil war would have ended and Donbas would have remained part of Ukraine. War is the ultimate failure of diplomacy.
Zelensky, Poroshenko, Merkel and Hollande admitted that Ukraine had no intention to honor the Minsk agreements.
Who didn't want peace? Who advised against the 2022 peace talks in April? Hint: someone visited Zelensky in Kiev at that time

Russia clearly stated that Ukraine joining nato was a red line (November 2021) and unfortunately this concern was never taken seriously. Russia held a proposed cease fire in order for the civilians to leave, but azov would not allow the civilians to leave.
