@@benconway9010 the issue was those Super Tourers were fragile. sometimes you wouldn't even know that tapped your opponent because the contact is so minor and you just see him spin in your mirror.
Lovely to hear Sir Murray Walker (ok he's not a Sir but he bloody well ought to be and he is Sir Murray as far as I am concerned) and his enthusiastic commentary. Legend
I genuinely don’t know why he hasn’t been knighted as yet, it’s borderline criminal. Not only is he a fantastic commentator, but he also served in WW2. He’s Sir Murray in my eyes too.
He actually barely touched him, its because of how fragile the Super Tourers are. It was cheeky but definitely not intentional. On another day, that would have done nothing, no matter how aggressive Plato actually is.
On of my earliest memories of Walker is the 92 BTCC final race at Silverstone, the immortal line of "I'm going for first, says Cleland" will forever be the greatest line of commentary ever
It’s a miracle, given the speed of the car, the sudden deceleration - that the marshalls didn’t fall asleep listening to Nigel afterwards
Damn, Plato has been smashing people out of his way from the very start of his BTCC career.
And still doing it to this day....cant believe hes still racing in BTCC in the present at his age jeez he must be in his 60s now
@@benconway9010 He's 53, started at a really young age. Tarquini, who is in this same video, is gonna be 60 now, and he is still racing in WTCR

Rest In Peace now. Sir Murray Walker forever.
John Watson in commentary said Nigel's acting that day was Oscar worthy
Rest in peace Murray walker 1923-2021
Luckily his moustache absorbed most of the impact
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I see Plato has never changed lol

not the point at all. He knew a small nudge would spin the guy out. If it was cheeky, then he knew what he was doing.
What an era of touring car racing 😍 and murray walker, brilliant commentator
The definition of a touring car
Plato up to his usual tricks again.
Absolute drama queen that man!
Has he ever not been hurt after a crash? Swear ive seen people crash harder in road cars and be fine.
Paul Newman said Mansell was the best actor he ever saw
Bloody hell I didn't realise Murray Walker commented on touring cars as well as F1? Have to admit I thought walker only did F1?
To be fair there are not many motersports murry hasnt commentated on

Lol nigel stop it.
He look in pain - was he injured?
All for show
Was just winded.
He was fine. I even remember he said in an interview years later he liked the act as it hyped up his fans
No it’s mansell the biggest drama queen in history
His ego was pretty bruised.
