- Hi guys, this flight review video is about my recent flight from Bangkok, Thailand to Singapore on Singapore Airlines A350-900 in business class, this flight departed at 12:15 (BKK time) and arrived at 16:00 (SIN time).

Worst BiZ class seats in aviation! Why do you have your layout such that you cannot stretch your legs out straight ahead when you put the seat as a full sleeper, but rather you have to sleep at the weirdest angle I’ve ever experienced because the extra legroom for your sleeping bed is way off the side of the cabin and about a40 degree angle. Ridiculous!!!! Never on Singapore again!!!!!!
SQ is a carrier...who no one can match...on the ground or in the air...in any class of service... other carriers try to copy them...or take tips...but these guys have perfected their skills..they are beyond world class ( my personal opinion...based on trips in all classes of service with them .. others may differ... that's fine...) The wing and engine views....at climb out and landing... simply superb....!! Thanks for sharing...!!!

I flew this route w/ SQ in business class back in 2017 on their regional 777. Not quite as nice as the A350 seat you had, but everything was excellent. Spent a couple hours in the SilverKris lounge which was quite nice.

Though I’ve seen many reviewers complaining about how SQ’s standard has dropped sharply due to the pandemic, I can see that SQ has worked very hard to maintain their golden, pre pandemic standard of service, especially in business! I highly encourage you to fly their economy class, as they are known to cultivate a very solid economy product, especially on their shortest flights. I really appreciate this honest review of SQ, and thank you for not always focusing on quality changes due to Covid but truly seeing the good things SQ has to offer!

I beg to differ on the economy class. I flew with them in December on a long haul flight & the service has really dropped compared to my last pre pandemic flight. It could either be cost cutting or Covid, but strangely one Middle Eastern carrier still has the full services on board. With travel slowly recovering, Singapore Airline should go back to services as per the pre pandemic days. Any changes to the services directly affects the quality of a product, what more in the airline business where the competition is intense.
WRONG. Airlines are using this as an excuse for cutting quality and service. We saw the same thing after 9/11 20 years ago. Airlines, even SQ, are in business to make money and they will charge as much and provide as little as you let them. Customers must demand better lest they surely will get less.
Flew SQ A350 business last week. Standards have definitely dropped. A350 product is inferior to the A380 product too.

Nice reviews, I’ve tried biz class on most LHR to BKK route, best so far was EVA, superb service and food amazing, looking forward to flying with these guys in December, hope they live up to expectations.

As I recently flew BKK-SIN SQ713 (regional flight) then SIN-JFK SQ24 (ultra long haul), the regional flight layout looks more modern but less comfortable (more narrow) than ULR or Long haul layout.

high competition among airliners !
My first flight on Singapore airlines from Heathrow to Phuket is 19 days away I truly hope they live up to there grand name and is better than emirates which I’ve used 6 times on the bhx to bkk I’ve watched the quality drop rapidly over a few years pre covid. So thought I would make a change even if it’s not as convenient

Thanks for the report! Very nice shots! Was there a specific reason why you went to the Turkish Airlines Lounge (and not the SIA SilverKris or Thai Airways)? I will be flying the same route with SQ in January (providing no further entry restrictions are imposed). Did you transit in SIN? There are pretty bad reports in S. Media about being herded around like cattle and not being able to move around at all.

I did transit in SIN and I thought they were going to put me in that horrible holding area but to my surprise Singapore changed their policy regarding transfers the day I arrived and I was able to make use of the new SilverKris lounge at Changi (and I had a 8 hour layover..!) so I was very happy..
I picked the TK lounge because i'm a big fan of their lounges (especially the food) and because almost all other lounges were closed.

@@CloudNine1 I have just read that due to the fact that I will be arriving from Germany all First and Business transit passengers arriving on that flight will not be allowed to enter the new SK lounge in Changi. They keep you at what they call a THA (Transit Holding Area) 😱😱😱

Those were the days when SQ had such high standards not only in the first, business but also in the economy class & was a trend setter. Lately services in the economy class have been scaled back probably due to cost cutting & Covid. As travel is now resuming across the globe it’s time for SQ to return to its golden days of great service.
I think the boss coffee in the lounge is produced by house of Suntory, as such should be Japanese coffee

SQ have one more business class seat on a380. Different than a350.

Just flown on Singapore Airlines from Heathrow to Singapore business class in the seats shown in your video. I have to say they are the most uncomfortable beds in Business Class I have experienced. The Wedge shape is dreadful and definitely not enough foot room and the bed seat belt very restrictive. I notice you didn't say very much about the bed.
Hello Graham, I fully agree with you. I should have said more about the bed. I can imagine the angel of the bed isn't very comfortable if you are (very) tall, i'm 176 so it was okay for me. Then again, I prefer a reverse herringbone seat when it comes to flat bed seats. Anyway, I hope you had a good flight :)
My feet touch the end and I could bend my knees when the bed was fully flat. No bed too mattress either.
The lounge design is bottom the 1st Class standard.

No there was not, however there is self serve snack corner/bar on long haul flights.

Great video minus the enigne shots that seemt to last about half the video... I am not sure if this view is a standard view to make the video longer and appear there is a lot of content of the aircraft, but come on, its an engine, looks like all the others.... I would give it 3 1/2 stars due to this...

This was a non-VTL flight, and at that time it meant that they would serve all food (so starter, main, dessert) on one tray.
