      Who did the videoing in this video? It didn't sound like you at all. Whoever it was pronounced his "D"s just fine; you tend to replace the "D"s with "T"s, lol. I could tell from the very beginning this wasn't you. Plus you always give us an intro when you start a video. 🤔

    Amish wood craftsman sure are masters of their trade. They really can turn wood into some beautiful things. Amazing how that cabin just folded out and up like a tent and it appears as though someone built the structure on site. Great video. Only wish the camera lens hadn’t fogged up when you entered the house.

    8:18, The wire rope slings are not down in the load hook as they should be, down, as in not exerting a sideways pull on the hook, they (the load hooks) are marked, usually at 45 degrees, as in not to exceed that angle with too short of rigging, longer slings would have given a more favorable angle and kept the hook loading at a more favorable angle. 9:35, the crane op grazes the pole, really? The last thing you want on a crane boom is a potential stress riser on the bottom, where the loading is in compression. 8:23, looks like the crane op failed to account for boom deflection, and as he took the load it moved away from him quite a bit, a better op would have that sucker levitate straight up, just saying.

    Amish are the best wood craftsmans in the world

    • @ohiofarmer5918
      @ohiofarmer5918 Рік тому

      I would say not. To be the best,you have to be trained as in restoration work. That stuff is not the kind of trade you can do working in a small area. That being said, the best quality small buildings I have seen are in fountain city Indiana. They also have a second line that is priced higher and not really that great. Both are Amish built.
      The Amish guys who use horse and buggies have to live and work in an area that fits within a buggy ride to church. Some hire vans and driver to extend that range.
      Some of day to day rules vary by region. My Old Order German Baptist drive tractors and use gas motors in everyday life. Other sects pull gas powered farm equipment with horses.
      People are people with problems. One construction guy who did a lot of short term projects used a handset like phone company repairman use to order material. Trouble is that you do not have to dial a 900 number for that. Pretty cool that the sheriff paid the elders a visit and the affected people were reimbursed for the charges. Discipline was handled by the elders,which is fine by me.

      I dunno, about fake. On the sped up footage it seemed like a load of his/her mates rocked up and pushed the gable up with poles an that. Helping out. Surely it must have been similar back in the day where the Amish community called on others with specialist skills for the hard bits and some with muscle to help them in build day?
      But then I know nowt about it really. I live in the wrong country. Just looks like a brilliant house and a very effective way to build. 🏠

      It's nice and honest when they can give you a ballpark price on everything that was shown on the video instead of having to call some sales pitch phone number even if you estimate at $110,000.00 to $120,000.00 to me it shows you're dealing with honest straight forward people and not crooks.
