Another great videos. May I suggest you try and incorporate some of the newer Excel features, for example using the new checkbox for the taxable cell instead of the yes/no drop down.
THanks so much Ron. I would love to use some of the new features, however so many of my followers are still using older versions of Excel. Do you think this will be frustrating for them?
@@ExcelForFreelancers yes, it would probably be frustrating for them, but also frustrating for those on newer versions to not see an easier way of doing things with new features. I don’t know, maybe a brief comment on how something could be done with the newer features.
Yes, great point. I have incorporated these new features on the Patreon update and I will create a video and application in the very near future using some updated features. (the checkbox is extremely needed) as well as a few new features. Thanks again
Good video, just wat I need, but if it is possible can you make it to we can use it for quote also, did look at other videos of what you have done, but they are not doing computer selling stuff.
Hi and thanks so much. You can just change the name instead of 'RECEIPT' to 'QUOTE'. I do have a quote generator here: ua-cam.com/video/g525CBJBeHg/v-deo.html I hope this helps and thanks so much.
Can u create multi units of each product in invoice? (For example a sewerage pipe (having Lengt of 13 feet) have two units, one is Length, and second is Feet, A pipe may bi sale in lengths, or may bi sale in feet? Or in both
HI and thanks for your comment. Yes for sure. I have a construction Estimator that will help with this and you are also welcome to download it and customize it yourself here ua-cam.com/video/3XU06Eg0PAg/v-deo.html If you need help with this, I would be happy to refer this out to a qualified developer. Can you please email me all of your specifications in a detailed scope and I can forward it to a developer? Randy@ExcelForFreelancers.com Thanks so much.
Hi Sir , Thank You For good Training. I Have Trying First Part ( Event Sheet 1 In Sheet1 ) But my System Give Me Error That Ask Me MacroName.Could You Help Me?
Hi , Thanks for your comment. It would be difficult for us to help unless we see the specific bug you are running into. Can you upload screenshots of your bug and sheet into our Excel For Freelancers Facebook Group here: bit.ly/groupexcel We have 60,000 Members who would love to help you with this. Thanks so much.
Hi and thanks. Yes for sure. The only requirement is that they have Excel. They can then do anything with it. On the update for patreon members, i am adding the ability to change this to an Invoice as well www.patreon.com/ExcelForFreelancers I hope this helps and thanks so much.
Item and Customer Database without ID? Bad idea. What about same items with minimal differences in the description? What about same customer names with different adresses? This is the second time you go this way (perhaps more, i don't watch every video). Your work is super usefull. I think a lot of your followers are using your excel-files in real life, but are not able to extend your solutions with ID's or primary keys. I made a reciept-generator with one of your old files but with id's and it is much more useable in real life.
Hi and thanks so much. 99% of my applications have ID's, and I have about 40 Invoices/Receipts, all with ID's, but the effort in this one was to keep it as simple as possible and create it from a blank workbook within a reasonable amount of time. I will always use ID's where applicable, however in this training, the goal was to create a usable receipt generator as simply as possible, in as little time as possible. I hope this helps and thanks so much.
Hi Randy, how are you? I'm learning Excel Automation using VBA from your Beginner Series. I have a question to you. 001) Is it possible to extract data from an Image and store them in SQL Server or Excel using VBA? Suppose I have 1000 images of customers information like name, address, phone number along with his / her photo. I want to store them in Excel or SQL Server (though it is not possible to store photos in SQL Server). There is a library called OpenCV in Python through which it is possible.
Hi and thanks. You may be able to do this with a 3rd party software that has an OCR engine along with a good API. This you can research to better help you achieve your goal. I hope this helps and thanks so much.
Hi and thanks if i get enough requests for this type of a training, I would then search for a viable 3rd party software. Please have a look at this one which does image parsing and may help: ua-cam.com/video/ZWMzgwQqr-A/v-deo.html I hope this helps and thanks so much.
When you created the Save/Update macro you wanted to save column B of ReceiptDB. to hold the date. But You copied a reference with Row 3 in text and said you were chaning it to be Row 4 but there was a typo and the macro references Range("F43").value. I never noticed an issue during the training where the macro failed due to a bad date or saw that this was corrected. Have not downloaded to check the code in your distribution. Not wure what is in row 43 except empty space so it may be placing an empty value. Kept waiting for you to find this. Look at about time stamp 45:46. and just before. Not sure I can post a screen shot to this comment.
Hi Malcolm, thanks for your comment. I do remember this. My editor may have removed the fix to save time. Thank you for your Likes, Shares & Comments. It really helps.
That is great Sammy, There are some key optimizations in this one. As you can see, no admin columns on this. It is simplified compared to the Invoice trainings. Thanks again
I'm using excel for accounting purpose. Can anyone tell me how to get a registered version of office and which one is best for working on latest things.

Can this be created on an app where a company can add items for specific services or products and ssnd to customer? I guess like an invoice ?
Yes for sure this can also be used as an Invoice. Please feel free to search my channel for "Invoice" as i have many here on this platform.

I have a question about your workbooks. How do you merge your workbooks together and not have them duplicate and actually work the same?
