My daughter went back to school at the beginning of August and because I homeschool I've already gone back to school too. Thankfully she's much more independent than she used to be, allowing me more creative time for writing and projects. And reading--more time for reading is always a good thing. :) Everything in life gets a little easier when summer ends. At least that's what I've always thought. I'm so ready for cozy sweaters, hot drinks, and a nip in the air. Fall is my favorite season.
More time for reading is always a good thing for sure! I'm so ready for fall. Even though the school year makes my life busier, it gives it more structure and that makes things feel a little easier to manage.
Ah, Fall. I'm 'Dreaming' of a 'Bouquet of Pencils' / think, You've got Mail Movie & Book Shop Owner - Kathleen Kelly ! In addition to above, a Burnt Orange Mum & a Campfire (scented) Candle as well. Thank-you !
📝✏️📓 I have no ties to back to school. That said, I love the school supplies and have a difficult time not shopping for any thing I can remotely justify getting 🤣
This semester will be my second time teaching business writing, which I'll teach on Wednesdays and Fridays. I’ll also officially start the dissertation, so that should be fun! 😅 👨🏻🏫 I'm also taking a dissertation seminar on Tuesdays, which will hopefully be helpful! 👍🏫
I hope you enjoy teaching business writing! It's my favorite class to teach. And omg good luck with the diss writing! That's awesome that they offer a dissertation seminar.
My mom is an Infant/early childhood center teach so they go all year around but there technically school starts end June early July. Though she did get really excited when all the school stuff came out because she decided this year she was going to revamp her room because she was getting a new team.
Hope it's a great year for you! I work at a University Library, and we started on Monday so I'm swamped. I'm also taking a French class this semester so that has started up
All my kids have graduated high school and none of them are going to college this year, yet it still feels like back-to-school time. I'm in Oregon so school doesn't start until the beginning of September and I can't help go through all the school supplies. I kind of miss buying it for my kids. I'll probably go pick up some things for myself.
It was lovely to watch this, I'm also in full force back to teaching (the semester started today). Your discussion on social media reminds me of the discussion going on about AI. I'm trying to get my head out of the sand and recognise that AI is here to stay and we have to teach our students to use it responsibly. It can be helpful but they must learn how to use it without having it do the work for them. Anyway, I hope your first week goes well ❤
Good luck with the new semester! And omg, yes. AI is a huge topic of conversation in my department right now and something I'm going to be talking about with my students.
My boys go back to school on Monday, and I sub for their school district. The local university is on the quarter system and doesn't start for another month.

I kinda miss back to school season but still love the fresh feeling of season starting and September freshness 👩🏻🏫
New seasons always feel like a fresh start. :)
It's full back to school season here! I have students arriving in my classroom bright and early tomorrow morning!
🏫🎒👩🏫
Good luck with the new school year! :)

I love You've Got Mail. :) And I'm definitely starting to burn fall candles.

I don't think we ever outgrow loving school supplies. :)
Wishing you a wonderful academic year x
Thank you Emma!

I don't think we ever grow out of wanting new stationery bits during back to school season. :)
