One of the best animated episode I've ever seen. Both vice-captains put in an absolutely spectacle. The parallel between King and Zoro was amazing. Kaido is to King like what Luffy is to Zoro. They were both freed by their captains, and both strive to be the best for their captains. It's actually poetic.
the big separator is that zoro has his own goal, king doesnt. that matters alot!

The way Zoro launched himself back onto Onigashima even stronger than the last time he fell off was a clear indicator he has EVOLVED and that landing with the music announcing him as the winner was....FIRE! ONE PIECE IS ON TOP!!!!
For me it was Zoro announcing himself as the King of Hell....that shit still has me covered in goosebumps! Though ditto agreed, that superhero landing with the music is just TOP NOTCH!
He should’ve crash landed half dead like the Manga, but the point remains he definitely evolved

The animators really put so much into this fight that you might miss some cool small details like at 9:41 you can see King transition through his life. And at 12:35 the red lightning around Zoro spells out the letters of his name ZORO. You have to keep pausing to catch the frames but it's a really cool detail.

That was easily one of the most hyped fights in this arc. They had to go crazy with this one! I love how Zoro introduces himself as the King of Hell while his conquerers haki is around the sky. He finally accepted himself as a king. They nailed it!

It’s important to note, what’s surrounding Zoro’s swords and attacks this episode is conquerors haki. Just like Roger, Whitebeard, Luffy, Kaido and Big Mom. In fact, almost all of Kaido’s attacks in the manga have thick black lightning surrounding them. It’s a bit easier to identify in the manga, but Zoro is using what is manga readers call ACoC or Advanced Conquerors. He really stepped up to a new level.
My man King really added "Extra Large" to his final attack 😂🤣 He didn't say that in the manga btw but the animation was God tier and unbelievable! All hail the *King of Hell* 🙏

The reason Kaido was in Punk Hazard was because he got captured. When he was introduced the narrator mentioned he got captured multiple times and the government did many experiments on him
and 1 led to the fake devil fruit that gave momo transformed to a dragon

Not to mention how strong Zoro has gotten also for being able to defeat that beast! We've come a loooong way. I'm so glad the animation did this fight justice though. The only episode I'll put over this for this arc is 1015 but this was the best animated thing I've seen so far this year!
This ep was amazing and he was given justice this ep. Both of them. Zoros' fight was tied to his ambition, and when he arrived at the summit against King, a fellow knight. He finally understood that promise he made to Luffy and Kuina go hand and hand. He went from a knight to a king.
I just realized why Kaido changed his name to King, it is to prevent the people who experimented on Alber from ever finding him. Also the fact that he masked his entire face to conceal his identity and the only person seeing him without the mask is Kaido. I just think it's really cool

I haven’t seen one piece since they entered wano, only little bits and pieces here and there. As someone who reads the manga I’m so glad this arc is almost finished on the animated side of things.
From Sanji fight against Queen and Zoro's fight against King even with the ongoing battle between Kaido and Luffy the animation was pretty damn brilliant Frfr. Awesome reaction you two Top notch Frfr 💯💯💯

This dope ass episode really gave me a lot of questions afterwards, especially with how cool and good they made King look. Like where are the other Lunarians? Is King the last surviving one? Were they part of some civilization wiped out by the government? I feel like if a lot more of them were out there, Oda would’ve made that clear long ago in the story.
Sorry i’m late but Lunarian is indeed a very rare and ancient species that dates back to even the time of Void Century. I don’t quite remember but King is one of the last in his species as most of them were killed off or tortured to death by the world government by the time the story starts

I just watched this episode it was amazing! Animation 🔥! I wish toe animation would start playing new epic soundtracks for this fights 😢. It will make it 10000 times better that already is.
If you recap, when the ep where kaido first appearance & interrupted KID, APOO & HAWKINS alliances, the commentators are already told a slice of kaido backstory. The said dat kaido juz LET HIMSELF BEEN CAPTURED by Marine 7 or 9 times, been imprisoned many time right, & also, the dragon² devil fruit dat momo ate in punk hazard are also made by dr.Vegapunk from kaido Gen when he was there(punk hazard). So basically dat why kaido & King meet in punk hazard.......👌
