Because the greatest team ever almost loses to Boston College with William Green suspended. The Big East sucked back then. I swear Florida would have given Miami huge problems. The Canes are very lucky Florida lost to Tennessee.
@@RobbieStacks90 a home game vs a Tennessee team they were better than. A Florida team that Miami toyed with in the swamp months later. UF may have been the 2nd best team on paper. But that's it.
Greatest college football team of all time. They basically scored 34 points in 1 quarter. It's too bad it was nebraska. I wanted anyone else. I really wished oklahoma would have been the team.
This showed that Nebraska didn't deserve to be or even belonged here. Should've been Oregon playing the U, not that the outcome would be different. Miami winning did this game justice.
Nebraska was beaten in every way a team could be beaten. What was astonishing is Nebraska looked completely unprepared and unable to adjust!! Yes, Miami had a talent advantage. But, why did Nebraska continue using the I option? The double wing, trips, twins sets would have been better against this team because it pulls defenders out of the box and the splits are wider. It opens up space. Combine this with a mid line option, counters, traps and you can take some of the sting out of the upfield rush this Miami team had. Defensively, a defense like the Giants used against the Bills in the 91 Superbowl would have been appropriate. Sure, you would have given up a ton of yardage on the ground. But, the big bombs to Johnson, Shockey, etc. Would have been much harder to come by. Make Dorsey think. At least with the run, you can keep the play in front of you and diagnose whats going on. Maybe you'll get a short stop. Put it all together and you can shorten the game. Instead, it looked like Miami knew exactly what was coming and destroyed this Nebraska team. This loss destroyed the Nebraska program!!

Zenigundam Miami would have sent spurrier into retirement permanently
@@RobbieStacks90 ALMOST loses. Meanwhile, Florida lost twice in the season and later this year (2002) Miami whopped Florida, in Gainesville, 41-16.
Miami played Florida in 2000 (the 2001 Sugar Bowl), 2002, and 2003. What was the result and what makes you think 2001 would've been any different?

I don’t remember Oregon from that year, very young at the time. Were they awesome?
Crouch proved over rated...Dorsey should have won heisman in 2001
I came here to hear the national anthem lol.

Nebraska had no business in this game
Ohio State gifted the win in OT via officiating crew.

Was Devin Hester on this team?
He wasn't. He joined Miami two years later in 2003.

joseph Howell I’m making a Devin Hester highlight in about a month. I run canesuniverse on Instagram

@@marcellisyale2185 That would have just been unfair
Jesus, that was a horrible Nat'l Anthem. We've been going steadily downhill for many yeas, thank God for TRUMP fixing things...
Shut up bitch
