So if I have 6 DP traps, I guess I’m gonna have to have 6 beers 😂
You're probably going to want to buy at least another 6 DP's to make it and even 12 pack.
I was wondering what was getting the corn out of my dp trap without getting caught.thanks,i will try your method tomorrow
That's an awesome idea. I guess your way would also keep it dry from rain too. Thanks for sharing.
Yes it works better if you are going to use things like dog/cat food or marshmallows for bait. Thanks for watching.
Great tip, thanks for the share. I went with golf balls. I watched the video in full and subscribed to your channel and hit the like button and notification bell. Have a BLESSED day.
Thank you so much for the support. I guess I use cans because I have more empty cans than I have golf balls...
@@NobleSavageOutdoors the cans are a great idea
Another great bait to use is marshmallows. I cut a whole marshmallow in half and pack them in the bottom of the trap below the trigger. I can set each trap with just one mallow! 👍🦝👍
Cool idea! Would
Love to see them do that on a trail cam.
That's a good idea. I might have to set up a camera on one.
Yeah definitely be cool to see them work it
Thanks!
Great Idea.
Thanks, hope it helps!
Hey thanks for the tip .I just set two dp traps and almost in the same place last year and this year i had something taking my bait so this is the answer ..excellent video ...Did it work for you well and stop the mice and so on
This has worked very well over the years. Two other benefits of the cans that I didn't mention in the video are that the bottom of the cans are shiny and have some visual appeal, and if you are using a dry bait this helps keep the rain from soaking it. I haven't done it any other way since. Thanks for the support and good luck out there!
That a great idea, iv done something similar but with the mid sized Gatorade bottle cut in half, the mice and stuff don't don't seem to be able to knock it off or chew through it but think ur way may work better.
I may have to try that out and see which one I like more.
Great idea!
Thanks hopefully it helps you!
Great idea
Thanks for the support!
Great idea. I use 160ish DP's on a 4 month contract so cannot afford moisture or mice getting in. Cannot get American coon caps anymore and golf balls dont work as not very waterproof and ravens take them. Was going to fabricate caps using 1/2" PVC pipe but the can method is better. Best way to cut the cans?
I just use scissors to cut the cans. Once you get it started it's the easiest way to get a consistent length around the whole can.
@@NobleSavageOutdoors ha ha works great. Thanks.
Try using dogfood and sardines
use a golf ball
These work better than golfballs. Less likely to be knocked off by nontarget, lighter weight, cheaper, more waterproof, more eye appeal.
Golf ball would work
I have more empty cans than golf balls...haha
What do you mean by golf balls? Are you saying to put them on top of the bait? Sorry if I’s asking a dumb question, I’m very new to this.
Yes @@CSWRB
You are wasting way to much bait.
I use whole corn which costs $5 fo a 50 lb bag and bacon grease which is free. The amount that you say I "wasted" on this set probably cost me a fraction of a penny.
