- Fatima is a song written by K'naan. the setting is in Somalia in early 1980's,K'naan's teenage life. The song tells of his relationship with his neighbor's daughter : Fatima. The song tells the rise and unfortunate fall of the relationship. Released on 2009 on his album Troubadour.

Fatima is just a girl with who K'naan fell in love with at a young age back in Somalia. Then while he went to New York City but she was shot and killed there, probably because of the civil war that was going on.
