Awesome review Johann! Finally a real life review of the Plaud without the glitz and glamour :). Thanks for demo-ing the potential of using it as a productivity tool, can't wait to see your other use cases!
Thanks Mark. Anything I do videos on are tools, equipment, tech and softwares I use in my day to day life either work or personal so I like to show how I use them to help demonstrate that point of authenticity.
Yes if you are having a normal call it has to be in the back because it pics up the speaker vibrations to help hear the other caller, if your on speaker phone then it doesn’t have to be but it still helps to improve quality if it is on the back. If you have an android phone the note comes with a magnet you can put on the phone to attach the note to so it becomes MagSafe
Hi Johann, I’m a bit worried about the deliveries. I had ordered my Plaud Note about a week ago, yet I haven’t heard anything back from the Plaud team, I’m not really sure if this is a usual occurrence or I’m an exception.
1. After the first year does one need the ChatGPT paid version or can one use it with the free one? 2. How clear is the cellphone recording can you do a demo showing both sides of a conversation for the one on the website isnt clear? 3. If one doesnt want to take Plaud subscription and use ones existing chatGPT account for transcription is that possible after the 1st year? 4. What languages does it support? Does it support the Indian languages Hindi and Kannada?
Hello. You don't need to have chat gtp, plaud has its own link which doesn't require you to have an account Cellphone recording is clear, maybe a bit tinny but very easy to listen back and hear full conversation. The plaid subscription is required to transcribe and summarise. I suppose you could export the audio and upload and ask chat gtp to transcribe and summarise but would seem ineffective use of time vs $80 a year for plaid to save you a lot of time They have lots of languages they can transcribe worth checking the website for the latest list
@@Johanngoree thanks..1. can you pls post a demo of call recording showing both sides of the call? 2. reg my first question, what i meant to ask was, Plaud subscription is paid but I have a free chatgpt corporate subscription...Can i use the Plaud recordings via my existing ChatGPT account for both transcription and summary? 3. Lastly I have searched the Plaud website cant find the list of languages there..can you help?
@@coolgravitas I havent tried that and have better things to do with my time than mess around transferring files just to save the subscription. Personally I think it's great value for the time it saves transferring etc worth every penny
The subscription is cheaper than chat gtp and time it saves you typing notes up makes it very worth while. It’s £79.00 a year…. Even if you value your time at minimum uk wage it only has to save you 8 hours a year in making notes from meetings to save you money. It did that for me in a week!
@@Johanngoree Let's not forget that they could increase the price anytime, not to mention that you are paying them to collect your (and whoever chatted with you over calls) own data for their research and business. This doesn't seem right.

Great review Johann! I like how you’ve merged it into your own workflows. I’ve only had mine a month but it’s been a genuine gamechanger 👍🏻

Really helpful. Did you do a follow on review?
It’s being filmed currently, lots of great software updates to cover
Does the note need to be on the back of your phone to record phone conversations.

@@Johanngoree Most phones use protector covers. Does it work in that way (with a cover on phone)? Thanks for your great review!
@@TroyMooney yes if MagSafe enabled

Mine took about 10 days to arrive, if you ordered from their website you will have a got a tracking order number you can use to track it
I never got a tracking number all I got is order number perhaps.
@@SamarthJain-i9t their support on their website is very good reach out im sure they can help

Is the Plaud AI using your DJI mic to record? OR are we stuck with the microphone on the Plaud AI?
It uses the plaud mic, it’s surprising good
@@JohanngoreeThank you for answering my question!
All nice and smooth until one day you are prompted to subscribe it to make it continue to work.
