I grew up near Lake Martin and as a black child my friends and I thought only the rich could live on Lake Martin. Now I am looking at waterfront properties to buy very soon on Lake Martin.

Thanks for including Mr. and Mrs. Schouten, a big park of the ski community of Lake Martin. His ski course has been available for a lot of visiting skiers. We camped at Wind Creek, learned to ski buoys at Mr. Schouten's course and now live in Sandy Creek.

I learned about this lake when I was a kid from my gramma. She told me about Lake Lanier and Central Parks reservoir.

Not something they put in history books. Not good history at all

Did she tell you about the black owned town that was flooded to create this lake?

Such a beautiful lake! I went there 6 months ago and it was so clean and fun! We stayed at cheeseburger island.

Yes, and you need to tell the history of Lake Martin with the flooding of a city that is under the water that is under the Kowaliga bridge. Benson Alabama is a city buried (flooded) by these people who wanted to make this lake by flooding over it. If you will look up Benson, AL you will find the history. So, go and enjoy your lake. I was born and raised here, and it is not what you think it is, it is only for the rich, now. How shameful that you cannot even do good fishing anymore.

#1 is just 10000% correct, although this was made like 4 years ago, I used to live here. and also it is big, I caught a yellow cat there a few months ago. I've also seen people say it was awful, so my dad took them to my favorite fishing spot, around the south east bank side, and they caught a 15 lbs bass.

Vcc rift you can find properties anywhere from cabins for 200k up to absolutely immaculate mansions for 5 million. If you’re seriously looking, Russell lands has a plentiful amount of cabins that go on a year by year lease, most of which are situation on the water and have pretty nice docks

@@willkoopman9306 I've been there alot and I kinda like it there. I don't really remember mansions going on the boat rides my uncle would take us on, but I believe you that their are mansions there
