As a inter/advanced tapper, this makes me so happy. Tap was never something that came easy to me and it took me 3 years to get here. I love this :)
Amazing job, Paloma. It’s so hard staying uncomfortable in those moments when you feel like you’re bad at something new. It’s like we know it’s the only way to grow but it’s so, so hard to sit in the discomfort. Loved seeing you do this-really so inspiring. I’m about to start a new job and will be doing the same 💪🩷

Because of this video it's given me the confidence to go out and try a Barre class. I use to love doing pilates a year ago, but after moving and unable to find a good studio, I've found a Barre studio (similar to pilates) but it's new and different so feel intimidated by it but definitely feel a push more to go after this video!
I would definitely feel intimidated to take any type of class in the known dance studio. Now I feel like I should look into taking a class there if the price is right.
***Something I forgot to mention. They seem to film every class for social media (someone will pop in and film for stories) and I know that personally sucked when I was extraaaa struggling. So just note. Something I wish I would have read when signing the release form LOL
@@palomamalfavon I follow the that studio and love to see dance clips and videos but I only assumed it was a dance studio for people who were already really good dancers and just needed to stay sharp and make fun videos.
I am so proud of you. You are doing great. You are learning a new skill, please give yourself grace. I bet everyone else in the class has tap danced more than twice!! Be proud you are a brave badass beautiful woman who can not be stopped. This is your time Paloma!!

Weird that I’ve been looking for a video like this, and yours was uploaded just after I finished my first tap class! I definitely had moments where I couldn’t keep up but I thought I did alright for a beginner. Your class looks waaaay more complicated than the one I was at.
I had fun though. Looking forward to improving! Good for you for putting yourself out there too.

Yes P!!! I joined my friend’s pop punk band playing the keys and singing and man the imposter syndrome and feeling like I’m not good enough even though I’m still learning and trying my best and doing something that brings me joy is so real!! Every time I end up in group practice I’m like oh yeah this is why I’m here! So proud of you for going to class and even starting a new one! You’re killing it love!!

I love this video because I really needed it right now. I started a volley ball bulb and I didn’t make it on the team this game and i felt really bad even though I’ve only have tire lessons it just really hurt me but this video made me feel seen so thank you Paloma 💖💖

Hey P!! I am so proud of you for putting yourself out there to learn. Something that was helpful for me to hear, I'm passing it on to you. Remember, class it the place to make mistakes, to not be 100% confident of the chori, to get in the reps and practice picking up the combination. It is okay to feel sad that you didn't get it perfect, or frustrated that it's taking time (so don't be mad at yourself for having feelings), but remember to always put one foot in front of the other no matter what. YOU GOT THIS!!

Also Update I made the cast of the production o auditioned for and I got the role I wanted AND understudy for two of the leads, also to clarify the role I got is still like part of the principal cast it’s just not the lead cast, but anyway, THANK YOU PALOMA for your encouragement it really helped me during my audition!!!!!💙🎭

Just started my first beginner tap a few weeks ago and beginner musical theater dance! Tap has been an ease-in but relate whole heartedly with musical theater dance. So hard to get the discouraging voice to silence!
