3:54 that happens when you input a gc on gs after being hit, but you're really close to the ground. Even tho the gc effect didnt come out, you lose your dodge and perform a finisher instantly.
Looking at this he never left the ground and therefore couldn’t have done a gravity cancel as he would need to be airborne to initiate the aerial spot dodge required to do a gravity cancel. Although there are some situations where are can do a grounded gravity cancel this doesn’t apply here and was never airborne in the moments before the side light was thrown out. He also had the animation as if he threw out a starter side light which doesn’t happen when you gravity cancel. Edit: the animation I saw is the startup of the side light finisher after looking at it but I have yet to see the ice platform so I can only assume it was a weird gravity cancel that was like a pixel off the ground.

Level 44 Magyar, Level 40 Jaeyun, Level 34 Mako and Level 25 Arcadia here. The instant slight finisher happens because you're hit ever so slightly above the ground so the game treats it like a gc'd move. You can do a similar tech when jumping, fastfalling down and dodging into the stage and do an attack which gives an instant dlight finisher. And well done for figuring out the GP tech, it's something I use all the time on GS because it deals more damage than a starter or bridge and also sets up almost as nicely.

Less than halfway in and I'm already in immense pain at the fact literally nobody knows the strings you use are jumpable. Also Lucien takes 1000 iq to use... Even if I never play him anymore :(
@@sharkguy6427 the three main unjumpable combos are slight-nlight-slight (absurdly strong at the ledge due to how little you move), dlight-nlight-nlight (probably the least useful one but it's all you get off dlight without extensions), and nlight-dlight-nlight (the main one due to how easy it is to read with nlight. Slight finisher is also stronger and hard, but not impossible, to jump out).

Greatsword is so fun and it’s satisfying getting a long string off a read, one of the best weapons for juggling as well in my opinion and very versatile with a lot of mixups
3:59 I have actually discovered it before, so basically if you can input a gc attack very quickly the moment you jump, if will input a finisher but the gc platform dissappears it looks like you bugged the game lol, it's actually good if you wanna catch your enemy off guard, but really hard to input cause it's a tight input

no, i think he did the Nlight first then get hit by Ember's unarmed slight so the next move of greatsword is the Slight Finisher
