I think it's only a matter of time before people really catch on to this band even if they aren't together anymore. Music like this eventually finds a huge audience.
@@7om5honestly bro, just got into this band this year lowkey, been listening to deftones and narrow head for years, never heard of this band till my friend showed me and I’ve been stuck on em ever since. this song plays at least once a day for me
@gazmat I was on a Nirvana/Deftones/Hum binge but damn ever since Spotify recommended this band I find it hard to listen to any other band at this point. They just have those nice heavy/melodic riffs that I enjoy 🤘
Didn't know this was about Aileen Wuornos until I got curious about the meaning of the song. I remember watching a documentary about her a year ago and yeah, her story was pretty fucking miserable and sad.
Talk to me, your closest thing to a friend Honesty went overlooked in the end I understand the situation you're in Oh, poor Aileen. You weren't treated like a human They took your veins. Don't be afraid In the woods, you're sleeping out in the cold Life's no good. They took you out of your home I understand the situation you're in Oh, poor Aileen. You weren't treated like a human They took your veins. Don't be afraid Strapped to a bed Everyone says that you're a monster in the way Needle goes in. How did you live? i have no idea how i found this band i think i just had spotify on shuffle or something, but this song is genuinely one of my favorite songs ever now and ive been hooked to this band for months now. i would love to see them live one day.
When i first heard this song i thought it was "poor alien" and i still like to imagine it that way, in the sense some of us are like an alien and persecuted as such in this world
One of the only serial killers I had felt pity for. Her life never had any chance, the only times hope seemed to be in sight it was snatched right away and her life was even worsened even further@@theogrelord5579
@@GHST.upload You mind showing exactly where you found that information? I have yet to see anywhere where she was a human trafficking victim. Only that she sold herself for money to buy drugs and alcohol and was herself arrested for sex trafficking/ prostitution. I do understand she had a horrible childhood and I hate anything to do with people hurting children. That said, that does not give said person the right to sell yourself to someone, kill them and then rob them. So like I said, she was a serial killer.
Beautiful song that gives me that 90s rock feeling I often miss in modern music. The inspiration is also fascinating and heartbreaking, although I disagree with sympathizing with Aileen after she began killing people, most of whom were probably innocent. Many people have terrible childhoods and never hurt anyone. Just something to remember when you start to feel bad for serial killers.
@bananagod3071 She murdered those men in cold blood as a means to steal their stuff afterwards. She was a murderer, and she deserved every last bit of her punishment.
Yes, personally conflicted about the sympathy given to a serial killer. But can't deny her suffering. Makes me think a lot about the whole thing etc... That's what good music does, make us reflect on things 😌
@@jaxthedisintegrator8096how did she suffer? From what I’ve read up on she worked as a prostitute and decided to rob people. She didn’t want to leave witnesses so she killed the people she robbed. Why sympathize with someone who did what she did?
@@theogrelord5579have you read up on her childhood at all? she got sexually abused by her own grandfather, gang raped on multiple occasions, impregnated by a grown man when she was only 14, and after she had the child and put it up for adoption, her family kicked her out and she was homeless. she was extremely traumatized and mistreated throughout her childhood and adult life too.
If Superheaven was a band in the 90s they would have made a huge success.
Mmm, they seem more like they popped right outta, like, 2000/2003 babe!!!! SUPERHEAVEN ❤️❤️🤘🏼✌🏼

She killed men who raped her, her torment began very early in life and she wasn't given a fair trial.

i love you guys so much
This song is about a serial killer called Aileen Wuornos. Oh poor Aileen
TMPanos96 she wasn’t a sociopath who killed for fun in the way men usually do. She was abused and in turn resorted to violence to her abusers
TMPanos96 so you don’t think there’s a difference between killing out of self defense and killing because you’re inherently violent? Aight
TMPanos96 you might just lack sympathy or understanding, which is of course, coming from a man.
Police used her to murder traffickers and clients because it made their job easier. Fuck the PD.
@TMPanos96 Tell that to the girls who are in love with Ted Bundy & Manson
GEM.
So good

I love this song, my only complaint it’s a little too slow tempo-wise. If they sped it just a little bit up, this would be the ultimate mosh song
not every song needs to be “moshed” to
