Great video. I absolutely love the use of natural materials. Cedar is such a beautiful wood and I am glad you were able to use the fallen trees so they don't go to waste. Great use of the upper "attic" space, always good for additional storage.
Diego you have put a lot of thought and hard work into your shed, this will pay off when it is finished and you stand back and are pleased with it yourself. Thanks for taking us along.👍
Once the roof is on and the structure gets dried out, you can load up a garden pump sprayer with 50/50 diesel and used motor oil and cover it, especially the joints, with this mixture. It prevents dry rot and keep powder post beetles away. Then every other year in late summer when the wood is dry blast it again and the woodshed will last forever. Takes on a nice darker hue and makes it look like a pioneer structure. An old farmer trick for preserving wood.
I’d have to say….. April 25th. It’s not too hot, not too cold. And you could wear a light jacket. 🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣🤣😂😂. I have to say Diego, I’m kind of jealous. That is one 🔥🔥🔥 looking structure you’re building there. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Technically speaking your 45 bracing as long as you don't remove more that 25% of the beam, you're okay. The brace itself only needs to be 4". It is called a shear brace protect against the cross wind. If you had built the entire bent at once and stood them up the cross brace could have been applied while building the bent prior to lifting in place. But it all worked out. Good job.
What you call the perlings are called roofing lathes here in the uk. We also use 2x1s instead of 2x2. Perlings in the uk are used on the inside of the roof space half way down the rafters to add support for bowing rafters and adds strength typically we use a 9x3 perling either side of the roof
I enjoy your videos. Why not cut a wide/flat V-shape in the ends of your 45 bracing, rather than notching the main post? This way you accommodate the round shape of the post without tediously having to cut a notch
The Electric wood splitter looks like it has brushes. sitting as long as it has it probably just needs to be cleaned up, the armature and brushes smoothed out some lube applied to the bushings. I'm guessing the motor might run continuously and the lever changes the direction of travel. Hey it was free and when you have time just tear into it if you fix it your ahead if you don't at least you tried and might learn something. The shed is looking great!
Diego. Do you weld and do metal work? I was thinking that racks for all of that firewood on each side of the sheds interior would be nice. 2 inch square tubing racks would not require to much room and would hold alot. Then make a log cart with the leftovers to carry firewood to the house as needed. Nice job.
You held the tape measure wrong. You’ve got to use your big toe on your left foot and then stretch it out by holding it between your chin and your neck. I can’t believe you’ve been doing it wrong on UA-cam. Lucky you have all us experts down in the comments.
No offense, but why are you putting an attic in a woodshed, and putting a floor in it?? It seems like overkill to me but what do I know--not MUCH.Take care and be safe🎉🎉❤❤❤❤😊
Right portions of the angles, in my grandpa's old fashion portions of any woods. Beautifully designed
Please use those building more security from termites, painting them. Just a reminder
You’re doing a great job Diego. Probably the nicest woodshed I ever seen and your use of natural materials for 99% of the build is impressive.
It's too nice for just a wood shed, now you'll have to build a wood shed!!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🎉🎉
Exactly 😊
Great video.

Looks amazing. Keep up the amazing work Diego. It's all coming together. Have the greatest day ever, love and peace.
Excellent progress on the bomb shelter! It's handy it can double as your wood shed in the meantime.
This would make a magnificent greenhouse!!! Just sayin’
The Grand Hotel of a wood shed.. Take care, from Colorado USA.. 😁😎🇺🇲

Hi Diego. you're the highlight of my Sundays. I don't know about you but by the end of the video I'm absolutely shattered! Great work man.

Use your skil saw to make even depth cuts for your recesses. Looking good so far either way.

Shout out idol Diego
you are too much of a perfectionist! (-:
Dang dude, your house will rot and fall down before that wood shed. You ever need a safe room go to that wood shed!!!
When my guy said he was building a wood shed I think he meant to say a guesthouse right?
Hey Diego, love your videos. I started to watch them recently and I always wonder why you put your ladder upside down? Greetings from Poland!
Better construction then some houses going on here!!!
Good job brother, will it end up top heavy😊
What was the advantage of adding and notching all those joist hangers over just screwing the boards to the top of the logs?
you said again that you want to start the shingles from the top, but you 'always' start a roof from the bottom up, idk
TY

Are you using Spotify? Would be cool to get a playlist if you have one. Lots of good music!
How did you learn to do all this carpentering?
how is the woodshed connected to the ground if in contact with the earth that is the weak spot your woodshed is Hell for stout! as we use to say.
FIRSTTTTT
Do you have a reason for using the generator instead of power grid from your home?
great build, very entertaining, to much talking at the end of the videos. great job tho!
It's a lumber storage or airnb ?

@@elucia12 OH, OK. Thank you so much for answering my question. It makes sense now. Thanks again!!!😍😍
Just put a piece of duct tape on the deep cuts....nobody'll ever see it
one third of the vidio is just explaining bro it`s boring we understand what you did
Why are you using that big daft axe as a hammer? Surely you have a normal framing hammer
How are you going to secure the shed to the ground ,,If you get a big storm you might lose your wood shed cheers ❤️🙏👍😃🦘🇦🇺
You did a really good job. I guess a few tweaks Here and there And you'll be satisfied. Keep the content coming I'm enjoying
Well done. All details matter. That is gonna be one of the strongest woodsheds in the Northwest
