You're right, the emotions Morissette pours into her songs feels like a testimony and like she's gone through some stuff. I didn't notice how long she held that whistle note until you pointed it out. Only few artists can hit it. That's why she's called "Asia's Phoenix" because she can make them soar.

I was just like you from the very first song I heard her sing 4 years ago....it's been non-stop searching and listening to her voice, here on YT!!! Not a day goes by, literally, that I don't watch and rewatch this young lady's videos. Even if I've seen some many times before, I still watch again!!! Like you, we her fans, don't understand why she's not world-known!! But hopefully, that dream is coming to fruition!! She's touring the U.S. at the end of February. Unfortunately, for me, I won't be able to see her in person (retired here and on a fixed income). But just knowing that so many, many more, in the U.S. will hear her and finally realize that NO SINGER in this country can hold a candle to her voice, makes me happy for her!!!
