I worked concessions at the Amex at Harding Park in 2005 when Tiger beat Daly in a playoff. Freddy Couples was just the most down to earth approachable dude. No wonder he is so beloved.
He is flat out amazing!! Fred played hard today, I think he wants there to be no question about him continuing on into his 60’s. Thanks for the content. I live in Seattle just a little older than Freddy and his play keeps me trying to get better.
Thank you for this. I've been following Fred since he was a young man just coming up in the ranks. I saw him swing a ball around a tree at a tournament in Rochester, NY, and was mesmerized by that swing, and have followed his career all the way. This is such a treat that you put out these videos; you just made my day!
Mike, thanks. I super loved seeing Boom boom play so well. He hits it as hard as he ever did! I never realized how good he keeps his emotions in balance. He made great do or die putts. I never tried left hand low putting, but I will now. Again, well done!
Best swing in history of the game! Would of won way more if healthy! Honestly think he could still win at Augusta if really took the time and focused solely on that! Still a 🐐 I very much appreciate this!
How do you DO this? However it is, keep it up! I don't have cable anymore (I know), so this is how I get my Freddy fix. Looking forward to tomorrow nite!
for example...in 2002 hole number one was finally changed, after almost 70 years of progression, from 400 yards to 435...and freddie just teed off from 445. so once novelty equipment had taken over golf, the traditional length of the hole that worked for ALL golfers for 70 years was changed...and the result is that such a change, especially across the board in golf, gives UNFAIR advantage to the longest hitters...and through that unfair advantage, REDUCES the field of professional golfers. The holes were always being refined for 50 years...but not lengthened!! why...because that's UNFAIR to all golfers and favors only a small group of the biggest hitters....which is why golf is so BORING today with the same driver wedge game by everyone... maybe next year the criminal pga will lengthen the courses to 9000 yards to really thin the field? we'll know who the 'best golfer in the world' is, when we find an 8 foot tall human that can generate more CLUB HEAD SPEED than thought humanly possible...the multi million dollar 'club fitting' industry can make something that looks like a golf club...and this man will drive the ball 500 yards!! then we can crown the greatest golfer in the world, right?
i wonder what yardage the course was designed to be played at...when it changed over the years...who changed it? seems today's course was changed to fit a handful of golfers...hardly in the spirit of the game! the answer to the novelty club industry was to shorten and tighten the courses...but the pga, as shill for the industry, destroyed the game to sell plastic novelty equipment...expensive, short-lived novelty equipment!! gone are the ben hogans, gary players, and lee trevinos... to be a 'pro' today you have to be 6 feet tall, and hit 300 plus drives...a game that none of the heroes of golf that everyone gives lip service to would have known or could play. damn shame. and boring as ever to watch the same handful of gorillas with tech assisted drives play a game of long drive contest golf!! you have to wonder how many of today's pros would be able to score with persimmon woods that required dead accurate swings?
Couples will always be my favorite player. But after taking a break from the game both on and off the course for 5 years I've come to realize that Augusta National is just flat-out overrated. The greens might as well have a clown's mouth to putt through and other obstacles like a mini golf course that I played when I was a kid.
I make these videos for us all to enjoy. Some people like to citicize every little mistake.. THEY GONE!!
Mike, thanks for these amazing videos. Freddie is beloved and I appreciate the effort you put into these videos. Great job!
Still one of the best looking golf swings .Thanks for uploading this.
It's a good feeling he won some Senior events this year. Finishing - 1 in round 1 against the top golfers in the world is super impressive.
Can never get enough of Freddie at the Masters -poetry in motion...

It's just another Sunday golf for Fred. He is so relax.. thanks for the video Mike
Been waiting for this….I had a feeling it was going to be you who did the people justice! Thanks sir!
We love Freddy! Such an smooth effortless swing.
Uce to see one of the best golf swings of all times!! Great video!!

Mike,
Thanks for uploading this and all the Fred Couples tournament results.
Thanks for uploading, Freddie the goat
FC the legend. So smooth. Looks healthy and no pain. Love to see him enjoying his golf again!!!
From a fellow 1959er. Way to go Freddie!
Much appreciation for this. I've been a fan of Boom Boom going way back.
Amazing. It's still the best swing out there.
Mike, thanks. I super loved seeing Boom boom play so well. He hits it as hard as he ever did! I never realized how good he keeps his emotions in balance. He made great do or die putts. I never tried left hand low putting, but I will now. Again, well done!
I started left hand low about the time when Fred switched in the 90’s
Fred makes golf look so easy, just a class act go Fred
Thank you Mike…Greatly appreciate your efforts
Thanks Mike (as ever) for putting this together 😊
just a legend, and his short game is still there.
Jerome, Jerome, the metronome. Watching that swing never gets old ❤
freddie giving everyone a lesson,
True legend
Whatta round Freddie. Hope he makes the Cut for us to see him play on the weekend. Thanks for the Video!
Would be cool if he wore those retro ashworths, we all wore in high school golf because of him.
Man i hope Freddy makes the cut , the most likeable guy in golf and the smoothest swing even @ 63. Go Freddy.
Thank you for this vid.
Best swing in history of the game! Would of won way more if healthy! Honestly think he could still win at Augusta if really took the time and focused solely on that! Still a 🐐 I very much appreciate this!
Thanks Mike. Have you ever seen Augusta’s greens so slow?
Fred Couples is my spirit animal
Still has the most elegant golf swing
Thanks Mike
Thanks
As ever, great job Mike. - And great play from Fred, he's looking sharp, but don't think he'll be as aggressive with his putts today.
Please do all his rounds!
Fred swung like he does in Champions Tour events this year. Past Master's years he didn't play as himself. He was tentative and anxious looking.
Love this
Love the f bomb at 9:20
Look who's playing golf! Birdying 12 and 13, sweet.
Nice Player.. !!
He made a lot of good putts this round. Could have been a +2 or +3 day and Couples totally battled.
How do you DO this? However it is, keep it up! I don't have cable anymore (I know), so this is how I get my Freddy fix. Looking forward to tomorrow nite!
GOAT 🔥🔥🔥
He's still getting it done
I wonder what the face of his clubs look like. Probably a dime sized wear in the middle of each one. What a striker Fred is.
看这挥杆是种享受…
The forecast looks so bad… is there a chance the entire tournament gets rained out?
So I read he used Taylormade's mini-driver this year at Masters...never could pick out when he used it
9.20 into video he swears.
9:21 F isn’t just for “Fred”
@9:22
Is it me or is Freddy standing a bit more square these days?

Putter was starting to get hot...
No glove Fred
y o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o 📶
Couple bad pull swings on front side otherwise great.

to be a 'pro' today you have to be 6 feet tall, and hit 300 plus drives...a game that none of the heroes of golf that everyone gives lip service to would have known or could play.

That Freddy is still a Player!!!!
It's easy to be relaxed when you have a couple mil in the bank.
his grip is too strong and ball sounds too hard
