I just picked one up today. Updated it to the 3.00 version. Ordered a case and screen protector. Zero issues in the house. Going to test it later this week outdoors.
Got mine this past weekend… The portal is for if you if your in relationship or a parent… it also makes me play my PlayStation more. Definitely don’t regret it. 200$, worth it for sure…
Honestly I find mine to be useless especially since it can't reach the level of clarify my TV provides. Also having a steam deck, switch, Asus rog and quest 3 that is attached to steam through my pc diminishes the use of it for me. Glad you like it though
You never had to be on the same Wi-Fi connection. I’ve been using it since it dropped been too many different places, including relatives houses the changes they did was using public Wi-Fi that needed a password because the portal does not have an Internet browser.
I remember them saying originally you had to be on the same wifi but that's good to know. I'll try it out now. It's funny but no one in the house uses the thing 😂
Correction, I tried to activate it on rest mode and the PS5 didn't boot up. You can turn it on if the system is off from the portal though
