I love that even when I dont like the collection there are soooooo many beautiful and cool pieces you can break apart and put with basics that are undeniable show stoppers. You buy Balmain for that one piece that you walk in and people say wow. Its not for shrinking violets. The square shoulder they do is the best I have seen. And the coats with the sash lapels. Genius. He's a fashion kid and its fun that they let him play.
I worry about the quality. I mostly buy from Givenchy and Dior, and decided to go into a Balmain store last year. While I tried on a coat that hadn't been tried on by anyone, a button fell off. Didn't leave me with a good impression and their stuff is made in Slovakia, India, China...
Olivier Rousteing is in my opinion the most talented fashion designer. The 2020/2021 collection is gorgeous, charming, colorful, simply amazing ... I love every single piece of this fashion show ... I'm excited ...

He seemed really stoked at the end. Great moment with him standing at the end with Esther, Erin, Julia, Liya, Helena, and Caroline. A great mix of 90s and early-2000s supermodelom.
Damn I love this entire collection if only I had the money to wear these clothes and you can tell the models were feeling themselves with every strut this collection just exudes the force
This is my favorite PFW show so far. Absolutely amazing, ground-breaking, mindblowing. To me, the essence of the genius definitely lies in the shapes. Immense bravo à Olivier Rousteing
You know your fashion history!!!!! This observation would have went over most people’s heads!!! But to Olivier’s defense, he probably wasn’t even of age to even see these fashions at the time.

Normally I think Balmain comes off as pretty cheap and tacky looking. But I was living and breathing for those capes and ponchos. Exquisite. Also those bunched leather tops.
I remember these models I like it when they mix young and older models, in shows, photos advertisement, Etc cause beauty is at any age, and older talent can sale product just as well as younger so we all can work as a model so yes this was a great show of all ages thank you.
Amazing collection... I love the way garments were put together... great colours... Even though I am not a fan of the wide shoulders, this is the best I have seen of implementing this concept. Just beautifully done! The sweaters are breathtaking. Incredible talent here of Olivier...

Impressive! This is the first Balmain collection in quite awhile that I don’t find overly-garish and over-designed. It still has the Kardashian-esque excesses and exaggerated volumes that you expect from Balmain, but it is more controlled. As a result, the collection is modern (even though it is 80’s galore), feminine, and dare I say, classy. Also, i love the diversity of models, particularly the use of older models, Aliya Kebede, Esther Canades (what a wonderful surprise to see her), Caroline Ribeiro, Julia Stegner, and supermodel forever, Helen Christiansen.

Some of the molded leather pieces were at least visually interesting. The rest feels somewhat dated and not in a fun, referential way. IDK, just personally a miss for me.
There’s nothing fresh or new about this collection, well, it’s only fresh and new to those who don’t know anything about the history of fashion! With that said it’s a beautiful collection and doesn’t consist of Balmain’s DNA but I understand these corporations are all about the money! This talented Designer definitely should have his own label because he has his own DNA
Its a beautiful & luxurious collection that looks a lot like it is straight out of 1990. ( even to the point of all the models being anorexic) The few pieces that were truly innovative were beautifully done . The whole collection looked sumptuously expensive

My favorite show after a long time. I don't think Olivier Rousteing has a superior level of taste, but as a designer he can speak his language best.
