Great GM Kim and his staff, and this new discipline, I can’t wait to learn this winter, you’re doing just an amazing work in our continent, let’s follow the growth of TKDD…
thank you master Lee, i am following up a lot. thank you so helping me in Africa. i wanna be Grandmaster. i am in 2ND black belt. is there any way i can be trained by you directly. please?
I get it, this is an interesting way to combine taekwondo and weapons styles, but this is marketed as a Self Defense Seminar, and most of these techniques are either ineffective (e.g. the bag defense at 1:25 - there is ZERO reason for the attacker to let go) or introduce unnecessary risk (e.g. turning your back to the opponent for no reason at 0:46). I would advise caution to anyone training these techniques for self-defense.
I don't understand why they hold the stick with two hands when blocking. You are going to get your fingers smashed and chopped off. Makes no sense. And doing tornado stick striking is more a movie thing than what you would do sparring. not saying it never would happen but still. I do Taekwondo and Kali both. 5th dan/master kukkiwon certified, and Kali instructor 2 level Ensayo Kali Tactical.
