Laugh of the day..my daughter literally cleaned mine. Came outside to find all my gardening tools in her play house soap bucket. "Ma I'm cleaning up for you." I didnt know whether to cry or laugh. In the end I gave her a hug. Cheeky little miss then asks does she get extra allowance? 😂 Great video and much appreciated. Stay warm, and blessed! 🙏

@@cinderellie9583 No doubt friend. She loves to get in the garden. She comes banging out the back door in her overalls and rubber boots yelling maaaa I'm coming! She jumps on her electric john deere ride on and down the garden row she comes with her water can and mini hand rake in her trailer 🤣. "Big work" as she calls it. "Rotten worms ma!" And has a cut worm dangling from her hand. She's not to fond of vinegar but who knows what 5 bucks can sweeten the deal lol

Loved the humor of having to make those extra trips through the snow to get the "forgotten" items. That makes the video infinitely more relateable than an airbrushed, "perfect" know-it-all video. 💖

Hello. Joe from Springfield Missouri. I found out I have UA-cam on my TV! I’ve been watching you & a few others . In the beginning of your video I see your kids. I thought if you did a video with your kids teaching them how to plant. Plus it would be great seeing the hole family ( WIFE ) included in the garden planting some veggies.

Evapo-Rust is indeed great, and not too expensive. Butcher block oil (mineral oil, bees wax, carnauba wax) is also good for a non-toxic rust preventative.

No matter how well prepared I think I am for that particular cleaning chore, I make that walk of shame of forgetfulness. lol Vinegar is nature's antiseptic and a good thing to always have on hand. Any pots or buckets I will be re-using the next year, get a good wipe down with vinegar to freshen them and remove most of the risk of disease for my future seeds or cuttings. My emptied fabric grow bags get a good wash and then a rinse in a 50/50 mixture of vinegar and water then left to air dry in the sun. May seem excessive (or so my husband says) but I invest so much time and care into growing food, I want to give my plants every chance of success. Too much of a gardener's life is at the mercy of that which we cannot control. lol

I've always felt like such a negligent & bad person who would lose my 'extensions' only to find them later in the yard. I am glad to know it's a common phenomenon (based on the Likes!). Silly question: Can I use Olive, Sesame, Almond, or Avocado oils? I have all the oils apparently...except vegetable.

After you forgot the wrench, I saw what was coming! Thought it was awesome! That's what I would do, forget stuff. I do have a question. Would it be better to sharpen the tool and then do the oil? That way the new part of the metal has oil on it too. Does that make sense? I am thinking of trying this with a rusty shovel. Put the vinegar in an ice clean bucket and put the shovel in there overnight. It's only the tip so it should be okay. One more thing, what do you do with the rusty vinegar when you're done? Where can I dispose of it?

Obviously not for garden tools but old motor oil works wonders for old seized up pneumatics and hand tools. Just leave them in the bucket over night.
Old oil works better because it's been worked and exposed to gas or diesel.
