Looks like a lot of fun! I own a 63 Falcon Sprint. Great little car.

Story on Shelby and Falcons a little mixed up. It was Shelby driver Bob Johnson in his preproduction 64 Falcon Sprint that Shelby demanded stop racing. Story is that Shelby said we are in the business to sell Mustangs not Falcons. Mike Eddy’s Falcon was originally built and raced by Pete Cordts. There is a Shelby connection to that car too…helping Pete build the car was his neighbor who worked for Shelby, Mike Eddy’s dad. No order to stop racing that one from Shelby. What is unique about Eddy’s car is that it is a 63.5 Falcon Sprint (round body like Mighty) that was re-paneled in 60s as a 64 Falcon Sprint (wedge body) because of the much lighter homologation weight for 64s. Was cheaper and easier than adding more horsepower.
