All guns of players who died will be lost, but those who lived to get one good one will still have it for the next round. Buying the expensive gun is a gamble but also is a game plan, if you can win with the expensive gun, then great, you get to keep it for next rounds, if you die with it, you might as well gamble for another expensive gun or "save(not buy expensive guns but enough to push through if plan succeeds)". Guns are also a strategy, some teammates will buy shotguns, some will still have rifles, some with snipers and some just handguns or Revolvers, to play close, far away, to surprise and many more. It's a gamble to buy the expensive gun because it will depend on the game plan and if the plan will succeed or the enemy will outsmart the play.
