I am glad you posted this video i also have a need to fix LCD displays the problem i have is getting the rubber strip to send the signal to the display i know it requires some pressure but the strips do seem to stick to the glass but if they come loose the connection is hard for me to reestablish . Also with the tape strip mount type getting that to adhere to the circuit board . In one of your repair videos you use what seems like paint thinner to join the rubber strips i am not sure what you used to make the rubber strips conductive to the glass and the board. I was interested in your video even though it has no music or voice explanation i thought it covered the subject well.

My brother truly I am not use any substance to joint the mount carbon rubber because its thoo difficult to joint if I use anything then the contacts mirror LCD contacts will be fill by this material
it all about pressure mount by ckt when I open the rubber strip will contack will automatically along with the LCD then I carefully & slowly move the wire to display how it works.This type of video is sensitive video so I don't add music or tunes ,,, other side I make 93 videos I definite add music or tunes ,, you tell me am I wright or wrong ?

Hi Nihar, Good video, however you did not explain what you use as a power supply to turn on the segments. Could you give more detail? What is the device you used to power up the lcd? What is the voltage and are you using home made a square wave signal generator ? Thanks , Christopher

My brother you can also turn on your led display ,,, just put your index finger back side of display then put your ac line tester wire slide in the display contact line & then you see some display letters apper on the screen ,,,, it does not require squire or sine wave.

OK @@kcdash9638, I will try your method in the near future . I was thinking of using a small audio generator in the square wave mode with a few milli volt amplitude. I don't have an AC line tester. I do like your alternative way of testing. Videos like yours are very valuable in the real world of electronic repair. Thanks, Christopher

Have a mastech 8269 that blows the 47 mfd cap across the 9 v battery terminals when i turn it on . what can cause this ? tnx John

I saw the mastech 8269 digital multimeter ,,,
The Capacitor upper side a maximum temprature written like 85*c if it excess it explode or ,, There are short in the board this cause blows the capicitor.
