    The market building is beautiful and historic market. There is a huge courtyard in the front. The homes are incredible. My son designed one of the few new buildings in Soulard.

    Love that you walk around and show some great pics with history narration instead of just driving thru. Good job!

    Great tour. I lived in Lafayette Square for a few years, but Soulard was where I frequented. So many good memories! Is the Sidney Street Cafe still there? And the Venice Cafe?

    The spice shop in there has the best chili powder- I moved from St.Louis and I do miss the market.

      Thanks for watching. The recipe is from St. Louis. The founder's great-great grandfather was a St. Louis brewer and he found his recipe.

    Why does the CITY OF ST.LOUIS NEGLECT THE RESTORATION OF SOULARD MARKET , PAINTING , FLAKING PAINT EVERYWHERE ?

    • @organstl
      @organstl  Місяць тому

      It is important to keep everything up to date and looking good- one thing I give them credit for are the flowers around the city in the spring and summer. They make things look really nice. I've seen them around Ballpark Village, along Market Street, Laclede's Landing, and all around in different spots- and they do make a difference and make things look good- no one really ever mentions those.
