同社タイガーシリーズの流れをくむシューティングゲーム。今までと異なり、宇宙空間が舞台となったことと、自機が最初から3ウェイのショットが撃てることが大きな特徴。操作方法は、8方向レバーで移動、ショットとボンバーに2つのボタンを使用する。ボンバーが出るまでの時間はとても短いので重宝する。ゲーム中には3種類の武器と、パワーアップ、スピードアップのアイテムが登場する。全5ステージ。32周目までランクアップする。余談だが、パイロットの名前は「達夫」である。

Taking place somewhere in the near future of space travel, an alien armada is invading the player's home planet aboard 5 gargantuan asteroids. After surviving an attack on the player's cargo barge, players board and pilot one remaining fighter and challenge the aliens in a desperate attempt to quell the alien invasion and divert their asteroid fortresses in the process.
Truxton is a vertical scrolling shooter arcade game, featuring 8 levels with non-stop action and 5 bosses.

どこか儚げで尊い。名曲
ゲーセンでこれをやってるとき、レベルMAXのサンダーレーザーにすると、背後の見物客が増えるのが快感だった（そして肝心な所で死ぬ）。
このゲームはメガドライブ版でやっていたのを思い出すな。
メガドラ版ではボムを使った裏技があってボム使用後にドクロが出てる時にポーズをかけて
時間の経過に応じてボムの威力が上がるのをやった事があったけどクリア時間がかなりかかってしまったので１回だけでやめた。これは懐かしい。
Truxton - The name always makes me think of a British stop-motion animation about a rural English town, Trumpton, especially as I grew up near a real life version in the Peak District, Buxton. Trumpton + Buxton = Truxton.
音楽が秀逸
このゲームは基本パターンゲー、即時性の高いボンバーもあってどこで死んでも復活可能であり、当時のシューティングゲームでは割と容易に1000万に到達しやすいゲームでした。ノリの良いテンポでプレイしていて気持ちが良かったです。
It’s not an easy game. It’s painstakingly challenging too! The key here is easy recovery when hit, and lots of extra lives. Which can contribute to more chances of boosting your score once you’ve mastered the game. Pride aside, I can loop this game twice without touching my bombs.

1988年にタイトーより発売された業務用縦スクロールシューティングゲーム。大ヒット作となった『究極タイガー』のスタッフが作り上げたシューティングゲーム。画面一杯に広がるショットやレーザー。ドクロ型に爆炎が広がるボムなど見た目のインパクトがより強くなった。タイトル画面にはクレジットされていないが、『タイガーヘリ』や『究極タイガー』同様に開発は東亜プランが担当している。前作『究極タイガー』（以下究極）にて確立された「パワーアップ型縦スクロールボムシューティング」の流れをそのまま汲み、前作の開発スタッフがそのまま本作の開発を務め上げた。
懐かしい。残機がどんどん増えるから途中でトイレに行ったり食事したりしても1日中遊べるゲームだった。メガドラ版はハンドルコントローラーで1周したけどパッド＋足でのプレイでは無理だった

This game has nice explosion effects. Its a shame the boss fights lack climactic explosions. I find alot of shmups these days lack visual effects.

へたくそというご意見には賛成しますが、１５年間で２度目のプレイなんで（こんなもん毎日三時間もできません）すみませんがそこんとこよろしく。
My top max score in this game is 14, 829, 240 at normal mode and currently standing at 4th overall globally and 6,776,780 in very hard mode, 20th overall. Been too buzy with my work and various things these past several days, and I’m planning to Hopefully be uploading my gaming in UA-cam as soon as I get the chance and might even give a few tutorials / tips on playing the game.

Okay, you had to have had this game set to the easiest difficulty, because my friends and I blew so many quarters into this game, and we could roll Black Tiger on 1 quarter, and we rarely got past the 6 minute mark on this bullet-spamming bullshiz game. No way you won this on 1 quarter legit. Still much props for you to beat this insanely hard shooter no matter what it took you to beat it, but from guys who beat Wonderboy in Monsterland, Side Arms, Trojan and Black Tiger in 1 credit....I call shenanigans. ;-)

当時は連射が苦手で正面レーザーと３ｗｅｙの３匹中ボスあたりで大概終わってたな。 連ありで1周したのは随分たってからだな。

This was 1988 and infinite looping should have been left in the primitive past, but at least some looping games could give us a brief ending in between loops. The Mega Drive port had a serious ending after loop 1 and comical alternate endings after the next three or four loops.
I think Truxton is good, but it gets boring and repetitive after the first couple of stages.

In "Space Invaders", I lost a record 3 lives in 11 seconds! I wanted to stay put all the way to the end, and I got the maximum 9,990 points, enough to be unbeatable!
