- Today I walked around NYC to find people with the best fashion style I could find and simply try to guess how much their outfits cost. New Yorkers spend a ton of money on clothes that some people couldn't even imagine so this is just an insight into life and people living in NYC!

Good video, much appreciated Tristan! Liked. Now here's my perhaps unpopular opinion, but just gonna throw it out there - This is why people are poor. Unless it is a good investment and you can resell it back to the market for more, y'all are taking BIG Ls... Seriously, open a brokerage account and invest, buy real estate and rent it out etc. if you really have this kind of money to just spend where it isn't necessary. Don't they want to retire?

Here is a suggestion you should try to guess the prices without asking them the brand name first. That way we can see what most people think stuff are worth when a name brand is not attached. Then after you guess without knowing the name brands let them tell you the brand and the actual cost it would be much more entertaining to watch and more interesting because we can see what people's perception of value is when a brand name is not attached.

@@TristanPaine I don't think it would be weird I think is more weird that the video seems to be super focused on wanting to know what the brand names are when some pieces even from the guy that designed his own could probably be worth more. I think it would be more interesting that someone might think your outfit looks more expensive than it is and flexing that you spent less on it. America is super focused on flexing about spending a lot when the real flex is looking fashionable and expensive without probably spending a ton. Asking what is the e most expensive thing you own also seems to put people on the spot as if monetary value is more important than the fashion itself. At the end of the day they are your videos and you can choose them to shoot however you like but to me it would be much more interesting guessing without knowing the brand as that would be a truly real guess.
That's ridiculous I just put my Massimo duty sweater thing over my polo and I can and have washed it 200+ times. It looks defiantly 50 or 80 bucks at a minimum. But I bought it for 30 with discount while of you don't throw bleech on it or burn a hole in it one way! It could be worth a lot more.

I am going to be honest that I prefer the focus on style rather than price. To me.........focus on the price, cheapens the fashion. Style inspiration, originality, self-expression is what fashion should be...........not how much I spent and brag it to the whole world. But I love your videos and always enjoy watching your interactions with the people.

I love how many people think style doesn’t have doesn’t have anything to do with money. I love these videos but I feel like they’re always super brand heavy which gets a little irritating. I wish there was more celebration of unique fashion that doesn’t have to have a designer piece that Tristan recognizes.
