It's silly people judge you on how you ride a bike. As a 61 yrs old rider, I could care less. I've been riding since 1985 and still enjoy it. That's what matters to me. I have a YT channel, and I get haters all the time. That is a small percentage of my viewers. I don't delete their comments. You are right it helps the channel. Thank you
i just subscribed. my 2014 ultra has helped with my dark path that i rarely speak to people about. she’s my therapist. living in central florida you can ride year round and that helps mentally. not everyone can have a blessed life but riding helps

Most of the 1% MC club guys I know are just felons that happen to own motorcycles. They don't work on their bikes and they drop them going 30 on an offramp. But they'll be the first to tell me I'm a poser because I have a Yamaha Bolt instead of an inferior and more expensive sportster. Don't worry about the label, just enjoy the ride!
Many many years ago.i rode an old Honda bol dor. I was given shit by Harley riders for riding Jap crap. One day this guy was giving me shit. So I said Do you have $500 bucks on you? He said yeah why. I said I'll bet you $500 bucks I can do things with my Honda that you can't do with your Harley. His ego took over and he took the bet, $1000 cash on the table. We went outside and he said Well come on show me. I walked over to my bike and kicked it over. I then said Your turn. He was so pissed because he wouldn't do it to his bike. He said that's bullshit and was told by others at the bar. Mate you took the bet, you lost fair and square. I took the $1000 of the table, and shouted the bar with his $500. 😂😂. A few years later we became good mates and would laugh about my bet with him.

I believe a "REAL" biker is anyone that prefers to be on a motorcycle vs driving in a cage. They look forward to the next ride immediately after finishing a brutal 3,000 mile trip. They look forward to the route more than the destination and they care for their bike like it's one of their children. That's what defines a true motorcyclist in my opinion...
Rain does not matter if you have gear. A biker is one who enjoys riding a motorcyckle, in the way which is practical. Everyone has a life to live, we are all different.
According to the unwritten MC codes ...only 1%'s are biker's..the rest of us ( me included ) are motorcycle enthusiasts. My personal belief is, don't care what you are riding, if your knee's are in the breeze, YOU are a biker. Nuff Said ...

Good video I ride either a victory v92tc with 300 thousand plus miles bought new 2006 it is generally my only means of transport or my 1991 xlh which is my spare knock around bike been riding for 45 years and yes it's a mental thing and yes these bikes are family members if you ride you know

My Harley has gotten me through some stuff. Especially when I work on her. I started working on my bikes because I had no choice. I didn't have the money to pay someone else to fix my ride so I fixed my ride. "$200 oil change?" Turns out it's therapeutic. Who new?
Pretty sure im a biker ive ridden since i was 6 im now 48 i have a 97 hd 1200c and a 2020 Dr650 ive only driven my car once in the last 9 years and that was because i had to move it when i moved house 3 years ago i occasionally drive my wifes car when i take her and my grandson somewhere my bikes will stay with me forever and my grandson will get them and any others i have when i die riding makes me feel free and alive its my favourite thing to do

Just found your channel brother awesome video. I ride with group of people last five years we found each other on a Facebook group. We just call our selves a group of like minded people. I vlog our rides every weekend and like you said the editing is one of my favorite things too.( Besides filming the ride)

Wind therapy is good for my soul. I'm 64 and have been riding since I was a child. Went through 10 years that I couldn't ride because of a dump truck accident, but now I'm back riding a 2023 Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello S. And since I'm retired I take joy rides as often as I'm able to. I believe that riding helps keep a person more youthful and mentally healthy.

I’m 67 years old and I’ve been riding for just over 50 years. I’ve ridden in the rain, ridden in snow, and I’ve had years where the only transport I’ve had was my bike. From 1975 to 1980, and between 2009 and 2015 again, I only had a bike as transport. I only ride in fine weather nowadays, but I reckon I’ve paid my dues as far as that goes. I’ve ridden thousands of miles, in New Zealand and Australia, so I done the long trips as well as just day rides near home. I don’t really care what a person rides, I just believe that as long as YOU love YOUR bike, who cares what anyone says? Just ride and be happy! Be safe too!
I'm not a keyboard warrior, this is probably the 2nd video I've ever commented on. I saw your video pop up and thought I'd give my opinion cus I hate when people put a label on who is and who is not a biker. Anyone who can ride a motorcycle and rides a motorcycle is a MOTORCYCLE rider. Now if u want to label that person as a biker or a motorcycle enthusiast or whatever that is up to you. As far as I'm concerned anyone who rides a motorized vehicle on 2 wheels is a motorcycle rider. Some people have certain jobs where they can't ride everyday, others don't because of their climate and others because they have families they travel with alot during the week so they can't pick up their kids or shop while on a cycle. I consider anyone who rides a cycle full time, part time. or just a couple times a month a motorcycle rider. To each his own, its a free country ride whenever you can because its the best stress relief u can ever get!! As far as the people who like to label other people by how much they ride they are just haters that need to be ignored. Thanks for sharing your video and ride safe.
Peace bro ... Put 30 thousand miles last year on my 300k 86 Goldwing Interstate that I bought new in 1987 and to this day , the bike makes me smile to the heavens and soothes my soul ... I shower it with maintenance and a waxy rag and still runs like the day I bought it . Its classic looking , black with lots of stock chrome , the paint has held up so well and the engine is original ... I would never sell or replace it , its too good and built so well ... its gotten me through some tough times and mental challenges through my life and puts me in touch with my soul when I need it to which can be often some years .... Its my best friend
I wont bore you with my riding habits. But I will tell about a guy who worked at the steel mill with me back in 1978. He had a Twin cyclinder Honda 350 with a milk crate bungeed on the seat for gear. This guy road every day year round no matter the weather. This is in Norteastern Pennsylvania mind you. He was for sure a real biker. Why did he do it ? Im quoting him " because I love riding". That fellow has passed on but he sure influenced me.

I agree with you.. if someone owns a bike and rides whenever they can, I consider them a biker. Have I known some people that are more "hardcore" than others? Of course. But in my mind, there is no certain list of requirements that you have to meet (beyond owning one and riding it) in order to be considered a biker. Great video! 👍
70 years old and have been riding a street bike since 16. That said I am NOT a biker, I ride to ride for myself. I have rode for transportation when it was all I had to get to where I needed to go. While I know people who call themselves bikers, I just do not fall into that category.
Well I can say I am not what people call a "biker" or "true motorcycle rider" I have several 100k of miles on motorcycles but that being mostly scooters. I have been riding from 2007. I ride every day for the most part commuting around a 100 miles a day. But not much on what most American's would consider a real motorcycle.. The bike that I lived out of for quite some time was 150cc scooter ( I still have it) rolled over 100k miles on it a few years back its mostly retired now but still runs.. Its the last bike someone would have a connection with but I love the dam thing. Its always been reliable for the most part but I am a tech for a living so when things to break is just a stop and fix it kinda thing. I love small bore stuff. But to answer you.. eh I am not real biker. I don't plan on fitting into that any time soon if ever. I have owned big bikes Harleys etc but that just does nothing for me. Small single cylinder bikes is my jam.

The difference for me is having a passion for riding vs. riding the cheapest thing possible because that's all you can afford. If it's just a homeless cr*ck head on a 50cc that he likely stole from the local dump... I'm not waving... but i once saw 30+ scooters on a group ride one weekend and was ecstatic to see them. So the difference for me is the reason they are on the scooter. Just like one isn't a "car guy/girl" just because they drive a car.

I have a 60v ebike . I can ride with the best of them as long as they don't go over 45mph don't ride on the freeway, and don't go further than 60 miles with out a 6 hr charge 😂 My condolences for your loss. Sometimes just putting one foot infront of another going threw the pain until one day life just seems to feel a little better.
In North America, people think about being a 'real' biker. Go to Taiwan where there are twenty million registered scooters. You will see mothers with babies, ride at 80 km/h on packed streets, while texting on their 100cc rides and tell me about 'real' bikers. It is nonsense.
@@STIFFRIDES I have seen it with my own eyes and basically it sets you straight right quick on what it means to "live" on bikes. To the Taiwanese, riding motorbikes is like breathing air. It isn't even a thing. One handed, full speed in tons of traffic while surfing their phones.
I think it more of what level rider are you. I trailer my bike all over the country because my house has to come with me... I have done long rides back when I had stick and bricks and I have road in tons of conditions including in the Snow in Wisconsin when I lived there still.
I have a 2014 Yamaha Raider, I've put 17,000 miles on it since May of this year. Going through two sets of tires a year, but am I a real biker??? Maybe, I don't know, never gave it much thought. It's also my only transportation so I feel ya there. But hey, I love my bike and that incredible feeling while I'm on the road!!! Nice bike by the way.

I do silently judge one if they winterize their bike and put it on a trickle charger the first cold day of the year in September, doesn't pull it can of until May, only puts 1,000 miles on it before they repeat the process because they they made every excuse to not ride.... I got a free year membership to the Indian club when i bought my Indian Scout. Showed up for their first meeting of the year when it was 40°F and on/off rain... i waa literally the only one who showed up on their bike... showed up to another club's event with more fair weather, and only a few of their members showed up on their bike. So if i rarely see you on a bike, I'm going to think you own a bike just to say you own a bike and don't care to ride. Lol

Careful to judge. I get it, I jokingly talk trash to some of my brothers and sisters but at the end of the day if they're riding at all, that's one more in the community We're all in different life chapters. Some have had traumatic experiences on a bike and may limit riding just to keep their "good ole days" alive. Either way, no matter what, ride safe and keep the shiny side up.

So what's the difference between a rider and a biker? We all ride for different reasons. We all have different capabilities and limitations that affect our time in the saddle. Regardless, if you're not on the bike going down the road and it's just sitting in the garage, maybe you are just a poser. Fake as fk. Did you buy that bike just so you could feel like a bad ass as you fantasized by what you saw on TV or social media? But you never actually ride it? Yeah, they exist too! Just found your channel brother awesome video. I ride with group of people last five years we found each other on a Facebook group. We just call our selves a group of like minded people. I vlog our rides every weekend and like you said the editing is one of my favorite things too.( Besides filming the ride)

Wind therapy is good for my soul. I'm 64 and have been riding since I was a child. Went through 10 years that I couldn't ride because of a dump truck accident, but now I'm back riding a 2023 Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello S. And since I'm retired I take joy rides as often as I'm able to.
I believe that riding helps keep a person more youthful and mentally healthy.

I’m 67 years old and I’ve been riding for just over 50 years. I’ve ridden in the rain, ridden in snow, and I’ve had years where the only transport I’ve had was my bike. From 1975 to 1980, and between 2009 and 2015 again, I only had a bike as transport. I only ride in fine weather nowadays, but I reckon I’ve paid my dues as far as that goes. I’ve ridden thousands of miles, in New Zealand and Australia, so I done the long trips as well as just day rides near home.
I don’t really care what a person rides, I just believe that as long as YOU love YOUR bike, who cares what anyone says? Just ride and be happy! Be safe too!

I'm not a keyboard warrior, this is probably the 2nd video I've ever commented on. I saw your video pop up and thought I'd give my opinion cus I hate when people put a label on who is and who is not a biker. Anyone who can ride a motorcycle and rides a motorcycle is a MOTORCYCLE rider. Now if u want to label that person as a biker or a motorcycle enthusiast or whatever that is up to you. As far as I'm concerned anyone who rides a motorized vehicle on 2 wheels is a motorcycle rider. Some people have certain jobs where they can't ride everyday, others don't because of their climate and others because they have families they travel with alot during the week so they can't pick up their kids or shop while on a cycle. I consider anyone who rides a cycle full time, part time. or just a couple times a month a motorcycle rider. To each his own, its a free country ride whenever you can because its the best stress relief u can ever get!! As far as the people who like to label other people by how much they ride they are just haters that need to be ignored. Thanks for sharing your video and ride safe.

Peace bro ... Put 30 thousand miles last year on my 300k 86 Goldwing Interstate that I bought new in 1987 and to this day , the bike makes me smile to the heavens and soothes my soul ... I shower it with maintenance and a waxy rag and still runs like the day I bought it . Its classic looking , black with lots of stock chrome , the paint has held up so well and the engine is original ... I would never sell or replace it , its too good and built so well ... its gotten me through some tough times and mental challenges through my life and puts me in touch with my soul when I need it to which can be often some years .... Its my best friend

But I will tell about a guy who worked at the steel mill with me back in 1978.
He had a Twin cyclinder Honda 350 with a milk crate bungeed on the seat for gear.
This guy road every day year round no matter the weather.
This is in Norteastern Pennsylvania mind you.
He was for sure a real biker.
Why did he do it ?

I love editing too. I know that had to be hard to leave this one uncut! 😄 Props to you for the bike being your only transportation. I agree with you.. if someone owns a bike and rides whenever they can, I consider them a biker. Have I known some people that are more "hardcore" than others? Of course. But in my mind, there is no certain list of requirements that you have to meet (beyond owning one and riding it) in order to be considered a biker. Great video! 👍

70 years old and have been riding a street bike since 16. That said I am NOT a biker, I ride to ride for myself. I have rode for transportation when it was all I had to get to where I needed to go. While I know people who call themselves bikers, I just do not fall into that category.

Well I can say I am not what people call a "biker" or "true motorcycle rider" I have several 100k of miles on motorcycles but that being mostly scooters. I have been riding from 2007. I ride every day for the most part commuting around a 100 miles a day. But not much on what most American's would consider a real motorcycle.. The bike that I lived out of for quite some time was 150cc scooter ( I still have it) rolled over 100k miles on it a few years back its mostly retired now but still runs.. Its the last bike someone would have a connection with but I love the dam thing. Its always been reliable for the most part but I am a tech for a living so when things to break is just a stop and fix it kinda thing. I love small bore stuff. But to answer you.. eh I am not real biker. I don't plan on fitting into that any time soon if ever. I have owned big bikes Harleys etc but that just does nothing for me. Small single cylinder bikes is my jam.

The difference for me is having a passion for riding vs. riding the cheapest thing possible because that's all you can afford. If it's just a homeless cr*ck head on a 50cc that he likely stole from the local dump... I'm not waving... but i once saw 30+ scooters on a group ride one weekend and was ecstatic to see them. So the difference for me is the reason they are on the scooter. Just like one isn't a "car guy/girl" just because they drive a car.

“Biker” vs “Motorcyclist “
I am a motorcyclist. I don’t consider myself a biker or want to be associated with them.
I have a 60v ebike . I can ride with the best of them as long as they don't go over 45mph don't ride on the freeway, and don't go further than 60 miles with out a 6 hr charge 😂
My condolences for your loss. Sometimes just putting one foot infront of another going threw the pain until one day life just seems to feel a little better.

In North America, people think about being a 'real' biker. Go to Taiwan where there are twenty million registered scooters. You will see mothers with babies, ride at 80 km/h on packed streets, while texting on their 100cc rides and tell me about 'real' bikers. It is nonsense.
I have always wondered about that. It’s always amazed me seeing all of those bikes on the roads. Straight up road warriors👊🏻
@@STIFFRIDES I have seen it with my own eyes and basically it sets you straight right quick on what it means to "live" on bikes. To the Taiwanese, riding motorbikes is like breathing air. It isn't even a thing. One handed, full speed in tons of traffic while surfing their phones.
I think it more of what level rider are you. I trailer my bike all over the country because my house has to come with me... I have done long rides back when I had stick and bricks and I have road in tons of conditions including in the Snow in Wisconsin when I lived there still.

I have a 2014 Yamaha Raider, I've put 17,000 miles on it since May of this year. Going through two sets of tires a year, but am I a real biker??? Maybe, I don't know, never gave it much thought. It's also my only transportation so I feel ya there. But hey, I love my bike and that incredible feeling while I'm on the road!!! Nice bike by the way.

I do silently judge one if they winterize their bike and put it on a trickle charger the first cold day of the year in September, doesn't pull it can of until May, only puts 1,000 miles on it before they repeat the process because they they made every excuse to not ride....
I got a free year membership to the Indian club when i bought my Indian Scout. Showed up for their first meeting of the year when it was 40°F and on/off rain... i waa literally the only one who showed up on their bike... showed up to another club's event with more fair weather, and only a few of their members showed up on their bike. So if i rarely see you on a bike, I'm going to think you own a bike just to say you own a bike and don't care to ride. Lol

Careful to judge. I get it, I jokingly talk trash to some of my brothers and sisters but at the end of the day if they're riding at all, that's one more in the community We're all in different life chapters. Some have had traumatic experiences on a bike and may limit riding just to keep their "good ole days" alive.
Either way, no matter what, ride safe and keep the shiny side up.

@@thehomeless_trucker That's freaking hilarious considering the fewer layers (in cold weather) you wear the more susceptible you are to the cold. Hence, fingers "freeze" and slow your reaction time. I could care less if I looked like the kid (Jeffrey?) from "A Christmas Story" screaming "I can't put my arms down!" If I can operate that bike and still keep warm then I'm good. And good on anyone else who chooses that method. LOL. Ride safe!
Up until about a year and a half ago , I rode my bikes 300 something days a year in Indiana .
Never belonged to any club or group or whatever . Any kind of title never meant anything to me .

A real biker? If the bike leaves the driveway or garage more than a few times a year then yeah. Keep in mind, I think what you really mean is causal to hard core rider. So what's the difference between a rider and a biker?
We all ride for different reasons. We all have different capabilities and limitations that affect our time in the saddle. Regardless, if you're not on the bike going down the road and it's just sitting in the garage, maybe you are just a poser. Fake as fk. Did you buy that bike just so you could feel like a bad ass as you fantasized by what you saw on TV or social media? But you never actually ride it? Yeah, they exist too! I'll throw one other thing in there. Do you work on your bike or have the stealerships do it? Do you know your machine? Is it part of you? Do you think about your bike(s) when you can't ride but wish you could? Come on man. You know what I'm saying here.
