Yea the past few episodes had some major call backs to Unicorn. Especially when Calibarn flys in and Eri blocks the laser. This feels like a nod to both Unicorn and 00.
Okay, neat little detail I loved about the scene: The sound effects for the bits attaching to the Calibarn. They're stock for a lot of Anime (especially Mecha) productions, but I always remember them from the Getter OVAs, and given what the Calibarn does next... That was used *perfectly*.
So proud of Suletta and Eri reaching Permit Score 8. Cailbarn Gundam looks really awesome, stunning and beautiful! I hope to this become a playable unit in SRW, SD and Extreme vs series, someday.

Their (Suletta, Miorine, etc.) story already ended, but the timeline still has potential for more stories dealing with the more political side of things especially the tension between earth and space colonies. Ofc it would mean that it would involve new central characters if ever it does happen.
In WFM series, it is more reasonable on how Suletta or Eri (previous episode) stop the laser. Suletta override the colony laser with the data storm we've been introduced before. Actually, Eri block the first laser shot was a bit fantasy too. I didn't expect that data storm can make a shield like that. Meanwhile in Gundam Unicorn series, it is more fantasy & magical power thing. Banagher & Riddhe create a magical shield that blocks the laser. At the end, Banagher becomes the newtype & just sweeps all federation mobile suits with magical field that turn back the times where the mobile suits haven't created yet (explained in Narrative).
Pretty sure the Gundnodes has the same anti beam property like Aerial's GUND bits. Gundnodes are basically just mobile suit sized GUND bits. Surely they pack a more powerful beam shield than Aerial's bit staves, let alone with numbers that big
Eri didn't block the laser with the Data Storm. You know the shields we've seen the Lfrith and the Aerial use to protect themselves from beam attack the entire series? That's the kind of shields the GUND Nodes generate, since they're basically just massive GUND Bits and we've seen them use this shield in episode 22. Eri just basically had all the GUND Nodes generate a massive shield to block the laser.

The shields are all coming from the GundNodes much like the smaller GundBits. GundNodes acted pretty similar as GundBits, just far bigger. First i was shock that ariel gun bit can be attached to the caliburn and when i wacth the episode i feel the unicorn vibes in caliburn,is still confusing how the gundam disappeared but yeah is totally good ride for the gundam series since i was little bored from the build series and I can't wait for the HG gundam caliburn and maybe another year because I'm sure is gonna be expensive

Ehh Suletta can't be considered a newtype since they were struggling in a gundam without Eri, while Eri would be more of a newtype considering it can move and control a gundam with funnels. Eri would be more a cyber newtype than a regular newtype or perfected newtype.
This ending was a whole blend. Suletta goes Kamille and calls back the relevant dead characters, then pulls a more reasonable Unicorn, then gets Cecily'd after the Calibarn disintegrates. On top of that, her payment for that was to be mostly vegetable Kamille during the time skip. On the whole, we got a Gundam X ending since no one else died and Prospera got the Shaggia treatment with being in a wheelchair. I liked it. They actually did it, a 24 episode show with satisfactory pacing. Given who was writing the story, it could have been wierder or worse but I'm happy with what we got. It was as gundam as possible.
I could not agree more. I'm not gonna lie that I will miss the series because it felt like there could have been more and it's ironic to say that I wish for once they would milk the series because I really endjoyed this anime as a whole. Even if the story stayed the same I wish we could have seen more story told from the different camps and see their perspectives. There were definitely a lot to be told but I guess at the end of the day these episodes primarily is about promoting the Gunpla but damn did this series really slap. I'm a dirty casual anime watcher but I really enjoyed it from front to back. Don't get me started on the music, LOL!!! Absolutely slapped!!!

God even this feels completely hollow. WoM feels like someone just took all the tropes from Gundam and slapped them into an entirely different mecha anime. Even the" finale space magic " moment feels phoned in. It's got all the right pieces but none of the substance. Hope this isn't going to become the standard for Gundam series going forward otherwise it's all going to come crashing down.

Newtypes and as you call it space magic has been a thing since the very beginning of a franchise, and it's the message that people and humans as a whole need to evolve and change ourselves, to accept and understand each other better. It's symbolistic of the fact that if we were to put aside, our differences and genuinely work together as a whole species we could achieve. Untold possibilities and things far beyond our imagination currently. And while I agree double-O was amazing, it wasn't necessarily better but just as good. And it too has so-called space magic. I mean, have you seen the innovators? They're basically just new types. And none of the main universal century characters were whiny teenagers.
All I'm going to say is that sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic, and GN particles and Innovators can partially be explained by modern science. I'm not completely sure about the details though but it's a lot closer to actual science than that newtype handwave dismantling BS that the Unicorn and Phenex did.
While I loved the series as a whole I just couldn't bring myself to like the ending. So many good characters didn't get enough time. That and in my opinion this and unicorn both went a bit too far with the technology going beyond reason towards the end.
I'm sorry to say this but mobile suit gundam witch from mercury isn't that great. I mean yay finally a female protagonist but it just isn't the same as in gundam unicorn where Banagher actually becomes a new type so yea the visuals are ok but gundam unicorn does things better in all departaments
Even though Data Storm is not as busted as UC-timeline's Psychofield and 00's Quantum/Trans-Am Burst, it is still one hell of space magic

@spartantraveler7251 Bro, grow up. Not everything has to be hyperrealistic it's not call of duty. Newtypes and as you call it space magic has been a thing since the very beginning of a franchise, and it's the message that people and humans as a whole need to evolve and change ourselves, to accept and understand each other better. It's symbolistic of the fact that if we were to put aside, our differences and genuinely work together as a whole species we could achieve. Untold possibilities and things far beyond our imagination currently.
And while I agree double-O was amazing, it wasn't necessarily better but just as good. And it too has so-called space magic. I mean, have you seen the innovators? They're basically just new types. And none of the main universal century characters were whiny teenagers.

All I'm going to say is that sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic, and GN particles and Innovators can partially be explained by modern science. I'm not completely sure about the details though but it's a lot closer to actual science than that newtype handwave dismantling BS that the Unicorn and Phenex did.

for me it's a bit same from 00 qant, that have quantum burst, only in my opinion😅

While I loved the series as a whole I just couldn't bring myself to like the ending. So many good characters didn't get enough time. That and in my opinion this and unicorn both went a bit too far with the technology going beyond reason towards the end.
I'm sorry to say this but mobile suit gundam witch from mercury isn't that great. I mean yay finally a female protagonist but it just isn't the same as in gundam unicorn where Banagher actually becomes a new type so yea the visuals are ok but gundam unicorn does things better in all departaments
